1. You have to remove the exisiting paint prior to the application of skim coat. It will not adhere on painted surface.
2. For thin plastering, you can use Skim coat. But if it requires more thickness, you can use Buildrite Putty Master instead.

Hi, thank you for your inquiry. You need to remove the existing paint and repair the cracks first if you want to use skim coats on your wall. Skim coat must be applied on bare concrete substrate. It will loose its adhesion strength and will cause powdering if applied to primed or coated wall.

Kung Tofil 801 po ang ginamit nyo na skim coat, we recommend po na mag Tofil 803 primer and sealer muna sa interio walls bago mag top coat. Kung Tofil 802 naman ang ginamit, kahit direct top coat na po.

Hi. Thank you for your inquiry. Skim coat must be applied on bare concrete substrate. It will loose its adhesion strength and will cause powdering if applied to primed or coated wall.

Hello po. Thanks sa video, very informative. Ask ko lang kung kakapit ba yung skim coat sa wall na na-smooth finish na (napalitadahan na tapos na-puruhan na rin). Bale old wall na kasi siya na pipinturahan. Wala pa siyang pintura before. Interior wall po.
