My family has been visiting 30A for over 30 years. The growth of this area is unbelievable. Much nicer before the all the building, but we keep going back because we love it.

I grew up near there, way before Seaside and other planned communities existed. We always knew we had the "World's Most Beautiful Beaches" 👍

We stay at Grayton and we love it. You can walk to the beach if you choose, or you can take your car/truck down, park and walk over the dunes on the boardwalk to the private beach. There is a shower house to use with bathrooms as well and it’s very very nice. We walked to town, and shopped at the local coffee shop, Grayton Grounds, and the corner grocery. It’s a nice walk or there are bicycles you can use. The tiny town of Grayton is 4 blocks wide and the people are wonderful.

Grayton Beach State Park also has cabins to rent...so don’t give up...just drive your 4 wheel RV(car) down and stay in a cabin! You still get the private beach.

I go to Topsail Hill in January for the Airstream rally. I reserve 11 months in advance to the minute to get a spot! And I feel lucky.

I will take a lake michigan beach any day. I don’t have to worry about rust on my truck or fifth wheel. And don’t have to worry about getting flesh eating bacteria from the gulf. We spent the last winter on galveston island this year and all the nurses we met at UTMB (university of texas medical branch) warned us to stay out of the gulf waters because of all the bacterial infections.

I know those things do happen, but it's pretty rare. I've vacationed in this area my entire life, as have most of my friends and family. I don't know anyone who has ever gotten an infection from the water. Take that for what you will.

Hey guys great vid. The issue for me is getting space at either of the state parks along 30A. At some point we will do Grayton or Topsail. In the meantime we go to Navarre, nestled between Ft. Walton and Pensacola. The Gulf Islands National Seashore between Navarre Beach and Pensacola Beach is 7+ miles of unspoiled protected wildlife preserve and the beaches are AMAZING, every bit as good as 30A but even less crowded. There are 3 really nice RV parks right on 98 on Santa Rosa Sound. You should check them out.

We have long been a fan of 30A, it really was once a very quaint area and away from the hustle and bustle of bigger beach towns. Although it is getting a lot busier with lots of construction it is still one of our favorite areas and the beaches are wonderful. Am torn about thanking you for your video which was great but then again, you have let the cat out of the bag, Well not really that cat have been out along time. Always enjoy your videos, like seeing friends again and catching up on their travels.

Stayed just east of that area in Eastpoint one Christmas after traveling to St Louis and down the Mississippi to Mephis and then New Orleans, it was nice to have the more laid back pace of the western panhandle. You're absolutely right, there are a ton of good seafood restaurants in the area that utilize the fresh Gulf catch to great effect.

We love 30A and Tophill Preserve State Park! I would add that you can rent bikes pretty cheap (and bike trailers for all your beach stuff) from the Campground office there. They are pretty beat up bikes, but fine for getting back and forth from the beach. The trailer was also handy for going to and from the laundromat in the campground.

Top Sail Hill State Park was a commercial RV park before the state received the park in a will from the owner. There are full hookups at almost all the sites. The beach is outstanding. I was there in February this year. Another great which I consider the best state park for a beach in Florida is Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island SP. It is located south of Apalatchacola, FL.

first time I went to topsail hill it was free, a long walk to the beach but well worth it, it was a midweek afternoon and the only people on the beach were two local young ladies tanning. then along came a hippie riding in the hard sand on a bicycle, he had the bike loaded, was struggling with it and said he was going to get to Destin before dark. I was only there to take pictures. I hope he made it.
