Well done lovely ladies, but the make-up must be minimised a bit. Natural beauty is far better and more beautiful. The only struggle I noticed in this interview, is when you girls answered the questions coming from the Judges, but overall it was superb.👋🌺Malo Kasete Naufahu, hono entertain e kau ta'ahine, making use of incredible talent.

For Miss Tonga China Foundation: I saw that you danced around the topic bringing up the Fahu system and I wished you brought out more truth about how it clouts, segregates and divides women due to cherry picking and preferential treatment of simply being the eldest daughter/only daughter or the roles for serving your father’s sisters: opposed to the rest of the other women in the family unit. Especially the toxicity and generational trauma it brings and what would you do to change this as you could bring to unite ALL Tongan women equally within that stance? Because we have a lot of people who don’t embrace or simply having a hard time to embrace our Tongan culture because of this. Let alone some women dealing with the trauma and hurt in Tongan families and so they leave the village. This also happens to the non-Tongan women who are married and partnered into the culture too as they are also affected but feel like they don’t have a voice otherwise they’re ridiculed and judged or end up with the village slamming the door on their faces to not be welcomed anymore. I just wished you shed light on that too. But you went for the sales pitch instead.
Also big ups to the judge (lady in grey) 👏 for keeping these girls on their toes. It’s one thing to impress and sell yourselves out big on camera and in public domain, but are you real and legit to bring positive change and serve the people of our islands and diaspora abroad 🧐☝️Women are of high power in Tonga but within family units, businesses, districts and cultural dynamics and so on. Yet we still fall within having the monarchs and yes, we do need more women in parliament too. Some girls are just inexperienced and not yet fully equipped as they’re still very young to really hit a nail on the head with some of these topics.

This is a result of last-minute additions that are recommended for these girls by their training teams. So sometimes hiccups are bound to happen. These girls are well-educated girls. I am just appreciative of their hearts to want to serve their country. At least they can pronounce their own country names. It is not always important to pronounce countries unless you are from their. Thank you though for taking note.
