i've been searching 2 hours straight for "Live Paint Bucket Tutorial" because I don't know how to pick color from color palette (that one on your left side). Thanks for your "alt", buddy!
ReVoN you need to come back and make more videos. Short and Sweet like this. You are doing God's work. I am a graphic designer than goes between many apps depending on the job and some months I dont touch some softwares like Illustrator or sometimes I dont use InDesign for the longest, or I am using ProCreate instead of Photoshop... this type of channel get me back in the game quickly. Thank you!
I really enjoy your videos- your voice isn't mind numbing. Before you start the tutorials, do you mind adding how to view/access the tools we will be using? I'm still learning how to navigate through the program, and sometimes don't have the options in view.
Hii Jessi, I checked it up and came up with 2 quick options. 1: you could make the objects in different pieces using the pathfinder tool "Divide". OR even faster 2: you can actually use a gradient as a colour. Make the gradient you want, use it as the colour on the same way you would pick any colour to fill, and fill it. Once you have applied your Gradient you could alter direction by going to the Gradient tool, shortcut = G
They are pretty similar you are right. With the shapebuilder tool it also makes the pieces cut from eachother, makes them separate shapes. With the Live Pain bucket you can colour it in, but it doesn't separate them. Good question!
It doesn't seem to like my art but something about compound paths. Still, thank you for clarifying things that are not straightforward in the tool tips, like the gap fill.
Keeping the strokes is a hard thing to do. With this tool it is not possible. You could make it all seperate shapes and then use the stroke. But there is not a simple answer to your question.
How could you switch layers while using live bucket? Im struggling layering like grass texture or road texture while using live paint bucket. But it always making same layer. How could I separate them??
What about Tracing an image, then trying to add just a simple background color layer? I tried and tried and looked online and can't seem to find any solution.
thank you for video firstly but i have a question like that so how can i open the live paint bucket tool if close in my computer this funksation pls help
I’m working on my own logo and it’s almost done I worked with the pen tool to create it on illustrator but I’m having trouble figuring out how to color a empty space that is not a path but has detail witjin it like lines that are paths is there a way to do this ?
you are amazing..I need to know one thing how you have make the round colour swatches By your own..like purple shades ..whivh you ve used them in your iron man.kindly tell
Thanks for the support, appreciate it! what I did is make an ellipse. Pick one ground colour (purple for example) with the eyedropper tool. then copy it and change the colours (slightly lighter and darker) by clicking on colour on the left and move the selection a little bit. Hopefully it's clear to you now :-)
Yes you can, but I doubt you will get the result you want haha. Make the gradient you want, add it to the swatches and you can select it with the paint bucket tool.
Can you do this on photoshop?
Sure! I will try to make a video about that soon

What is the difference between this and the shape builder tool please?
They are pretty similar you are right. With the shapebuilder tool it also makes the pieces cut from eachother, makes them separate shapes. With the Live Pain bucket you can colour it in, but it doesn't separate them. Good question!
Thank you!
