Making Friends In Songkhla Thailand 🇹🇭

- We set out exploring Songkhla again, one of our favourite city's in Thailand.
We kicked things off eating a delicious khao kluk kapi or shrimp paste fried rice which was absolutely delicious, a real underrated street food here in Thailand.
Then we found a monkey feeding spot on the way to the beach here in Songkhla and had so much fun messing around with them all.
Ended the day off at Chalatat and Samila beaches to see if Songkhla really does have it all.
We love this city it really is incredible, from the beautiful Songkhla old town, to the lake, the mountains and the ocean 🇹🇭

I’ve been to Thailand many times, but not for the past 4 years (for the obvious reason). I’ve never been to that area and your videos are tempting me big time! I have vacation in 2 weeks, so we’ll see what happens!!!

Thai food if you notice must has 4 tastes : sweetness saltiness sourness and spicyness. It will come in many forms. Mango, or lime for sourness in " Koa Kruk Kapi" . Many foems of sugars. Many forms of saltiness and many kinds of chilli's.
Thai food is incredible

70 baht for the full plate of Khao kluk kapi, is very cheap, they gave you the crispy shrimp which you’ll never get in Bangkok! That brown pork is Moo whan, or sweet pork. There are many oil rigs in the gulf of Thailand and Songkla is drop off and pick up point for the oil riggers
It's not too bad is it was delicious. Moo waan yes don't know why my brain said sausage.

The Island that you pointed out at 17:44 was a Koh-Noo (Rat Island, you may realize by its shape.) and a liitle further was Koh-Maew (Cat Island). There is an interesting story behind among Rat Island, Cat Island, and Tang-kuan hill.
A rat, a cat and a dog were in the same ship. One day, they were bored and wanted to get off the ship to the mainland. They had heard that the ship owner had a sacred crystal ball that makes anyone holds the crystal ball float. So, the rat stole such a crystal ball and fleed together with the cat and the dog.
In the meantime, the rat realized that when they reach the beach, the cat was going to eat it. Therefore, the rat tried to flee alone. The cat tried to catch the rat until the crystal ball lost.
So, they could not float anymore. They tried to get to the beach. Unfortunately, they could not make it. They died. The rat became Rat Island, the cat became Cat Island, the dog became Tang-kuan hill and the sacred crystal ball became the crystal sand beach. That's all the tale.

khao kluk kapi The mainly be similar along every area. But in Central area you may find out the Sweet pork, which is made from pork belly (the meat layer is similar to crispy pork, but the pieces are smaller and softer).

Monkeys are vicious, aggressive, disease-ridden, thieving monsters. Encouraging people to "mess around" with them is a terrible idea.

@@EllisWR Sure, put yourself at risk all you want to. But by making it content on your channel you are encouraging others to do so as well. You may like to drive a motorcycle without a helmet, or have unprotected sex with strangers, or run with scissors. But you shouldn't encourage others to do those things. And you should not encourage others to put themselves at risk by interacting with these feral monkeys.

Not too long to wait if people knew there was such a beautiful sea there and there will be tourists And then it will destroy nature like a famous tourists destination in Thailand...But fortunately, Thailand still has many islands that Thailand has not yet Revealed to tourists.
It's too far away for tourists to bother visiting. They would much rather stay near Bangkok no doubt with all the conveniences.
That's the beauty of these destinations they only attract the good people
