Very cool basic navigation lesson. Thank you very much. It's not what I was looking for when I discovered your video but I'm glad I stopped to watch it was very helpful.
@@AvoidingChores Thank you so much, IO thought I did what you said, but I never saw a "stop navigation" item to highlight and turn off. I just took the batteries out of it for a few days and it wasn't there anymore. I don't to turn it back on again if it doesn't show me that screen option. But I may just try it now that you told me what to look for. it doesn't cover this in the owners manual or on any video I have seen.
You also can use the way point projection, so you can simply enter the angles and distances without fiddling around wit the compass. I have used the 60csx for 10 years. Also nice, but the two axis compass was not fun to use. Thank you
I am having trouble updating my maps with Garmin Express. I keep getting an error saying " unable to communicate with server" have you run into this issue when using your 66i + Garmin Express software?
Yes. Been getting it recently. I let it seems t and got a prompt to update software. Going to see if that fixes it. You may want to Uninstaller and get the most latest version if it fixes it for you
@@AvoidingChores I have also tried to uninstall, as well as use a different computer. Nothing works for me and its still saying it cant connect to the server. Thank you so much for your reply, really appreciate it.
I like the way you show us and tell us how to do something. You take your time so it's very easy to follow your instructions. Thank you very much!

Glad you found something to watch in any case :)
Thank you. Here I have this wonderful device and I have so much to learn about how to use it. Thanks!
Glad it helped!
G'day from Melbourne, Australia - Thanks for the video I have recently purchased a eTrex 32x GPS that also has Sight n Go..
It should exactly the same so I hope this video helped 😀
Very helpful and easy to understand. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Very helpful Jim.
Thank you for uploading.
Great, so how do you turn it off??? I set the thing by accident, but don't know how to turn it off. Any info on that would be helpful.
Since it’s a basic navigation to a point (waypoint projection or course)88, just need to hit the menu button on the map page and “stop navigation”

Hi there . What is the differences between the 64 sx and the 66 series;
You also can use the way point projection, so you can simply enter the angles and distances without fiddling around wit the compass. I have used the 60csx for 10 years. Also nice, but the two axis compass was not fun to use. Thank you
Excellent tip!
While I switch to other page while doing sight n go, is it possible to go back and resume the previous sight n go?
Yes. It should still be locked into that navigation mode
great 👍🏻

Genius!
This thing hasn't bricked yet?
Lol. It is hobbling along.
Use the course pointer instead… just walk around the lake and get back on course. No math included.
