My friend has been working on a bot that dispenses quotes from about a decade of our friendship. Some of them are mine, some are his, some are completely fabricated, some are outright incriminating. They are all attributed to me, and anyone can demand a quote at any time on either server the bot operates.

The question ’why are so quiet’ is probably the worst question you could ask to someone that doesn’t speak a lot. It just makes them more self-conscious and eliminates all hope of them joining in the conversation.

It's honestly a mixed message. Problem is many so called 'introverts' copes by having a literaly misanthropic mindset. You can see the skits here in TH-cam and self proclaimed introverts expressing their fantasy in the comments also, i feel like they would probably deserve the question if this is their true mindset.
Otherwise, people honest with themselves would have no problems by answering 'i don't have any energy right now'. But what we usually get lately are socially incompetent people that can only cope by being misanthropic.
Nah if someone asked me that then I'd try answering it with "I just don't see room for me to talk, after all it seems like I'm just for decoration here as no one here lets me have room to speak".
Of course that is if I don't get interrupted out of random which always happens by the way.

Yeah, there's a lot of words like that for me. They're just odd spellings, and it sometimes helps to remember an incorrect pronunciation in order to spell them correctly.

This is the story of my life
I was very quiet up through my 20s, and it's amazing how many people just get *pissed off* by someone sitting around and enjoying the company without saying anything. I got lots of "who do you think you are" and "you're so stuck up", and all that was happening is I didn't watch the movies/listen to the bands/know their friends and was just trying to live. Now I've got the opposite problem, where I start babbling at people because I'm afraid I'm going to get yelled at, insulted, or ditched if I'm quiet because that actually happened to me a ton.
Three cheers for introvert trauma!
I'm in my teens and honestly if someone even cared about the fact I'm quiet I'd be happy.
People weren't as mean to me but I dealt with that a handful of times, from otherwise nice people. They're focused on how you're acting and not for a second on how they're coming across. I'm not an introvert I don't think but I'm socially awkward and poor at verbal communication (slowly getting better).
Just talk as much or as little as you want so long as you're not being really rude is what I'd say- for example ignoring someone's question or not saying what needs to be said- I've had a few times in my life where I was too shy to say what I should have and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. But people who want to control exactly how much you talk are being unreasonable
I used to be quite extroverted, until about halfway through college, but I've had too many experiences of realizing others aren't actually listening nor do they care, so I've mostly shut myself off from old friends and keep to myself now. Talking to brick walls takes too much energy.

Been working on that a lot, because that is a problem I actually used to have. I used to just want to put my own words out there and if there isn't anything interesting for me to say, i get bored in the conversation. Now that I've progressed a lot though, i find conversation much nicer and interesting and i feel connections. And because i listen, when itcs time for me to talk i actually have something related and good to say.
Also when i started listening more, people have started telling me that i'm the type of person who makes them want to talk or that they feel like icm the type of person who really listens. The result is that i have gotten some deep insight into some people's lives i otherwise wouldn't have discovered if i babbled. And being a really naturally curious person this makes me extremely happy.
Of course there are times where i slip and interrupt or say something unrelated or something of the old habits, but i do my best and i enjoy the conversation. I really urge others to listen more because not only does it make others like you more, it also makes you happier while in a convo.
(Note: if i appear to be a popular person or nice/cute with several friends that's not true. I don't have very close friends, i have some normal friends, and my personality is somehow rough, which some people like and some people don't, but that doesn't mean people don't like my conversation. Also what i said above i mostly experience in situations with very few or just one other person; in a large group, there will always be others listening so it doesn't really matter to the speaker)
@@ayanoaman3179 see that's the thing with me, I'm a great listener but everyone I talk to only makes me feel like they don't want to talk to me at any time, they give the shortest answers possible and don't try expanding on the topic.
There's this group of girls that have been observing me for a while in my school and I hope when I get out of vacation I can manage to talk to them because they seem like the only ones who care about me.
Honestly I wish the problem was only in me and not 99% of the people I talk to, I really do, but sadly it's just not this way and I feel forced to be quiet, it also really doesn't help that no one tries to approach me.
@@jellymatsuryuka6853 oh yeah about that. Of course it's hard to feel as if nobody wants to talk to you. I went through that too, until i started initiating convos myself and not only with my class or school friends. For example i participate in an event and i cane out of it with a bunch of new acquaintances and friends, you get the idea. Even just high fiving people at random during break or walking in my sports club feels really cool.
Keep in mind, a ton of people are going to be disinterested. A lot of people will not notice or ignore your high fives or friendship attempts. Also not every convo has to be for a friendship. I learned that, and thatcs the reason i started talking to a wider span of people.
I don't want to pretend im an expert on the topic because my social situation is still far from great, but i like to think i have a lot of experience in this loneliness/isolation stuff.
@@ayanoaman3179 I know, but the thing is, apparently in every conversation I try to start, the other side of the party instantly turns into a convo killer, some don't pay attention, some want me to get away, but I notice most won't even give me the attention or respect I deserve.
There was this one time where I was talking eye to eye to the person, they instantly turned their head and started talking to someone else with all happiness in the world when I didn't even finish speaking and then proceeded to ignore me. It seems like people never try to put any effort in even faking that they're giving me attention, heck one of the people in my school literally saw me after I said hi and did nothing but walk away with their friend.
The sad part is that I'm not even being pessimistic, this is just literally what happens to me lol.

I’m like 65% extrovert, but I have that part introvert in me so even when I’m being extroverted around other extroverts, I’m a lot more mindful on introverts around and how they’re feeling. I feel bad for you guys, I always try my best to include you 🥺💕

Some people have this superpower (Yeah. We'll call it a superpower.) that allows them to blend into the background, almost as though they are invisible. It's more than mere invisibility though, because even when they speak, no one notices.
I think i am invisible because of how much people ignore me💀
If someone asked me why it was quiet I would try to say "because I'm too afraid to say something for fear of getting yelled at. Yes like a phobia of talking to people."
Most of the time I'm scared of other people yelling at me but sometimes I meet someone that's so scared themselves that I'm afraid of being rude to them instead.
I'm going to shock you: Most people feel the same way.
It only seems we don't, because we have a couple of longstanding social crutches we use to prop ourselves up. One of them is "small talk"; it sounds banal, and it is banal, but it's very good at breaking ice and paving the way for better conversation. Another is just asking questions; let the other person talk, and prompt them for further details, ESPECIALLY when they appear passionate on the subject!
Finally, don't feel you can't use standard etiquette; it's actually a form of communication every society develops so as to avoid giving offense! Please, thank you, I'm sorry, excuse me...all that sort of thing are the accepted offerings, which a person becomes unreasonable if they refuse (and inexcusable if they abuse). You don't need to look clever, just pleasant. And if they yell at you for no good reason? Then they're not really talking to you, they're telling everyone they're boors.
Just be kind, be welcoming, and be humble. The people worth knowing will give back what you give them. And if you do things right, you might just help another wallflower get a chance to blossom!

Yeah it really is, I remember this time when I was finally tell a person in my class why I was even quiet or how I had this big issue of thinking nobody pays attention to me just to get interrupted by the teacher.
