Excellent tutorial. I've looked at more than a dozen videos and they all have a one piece strap. I like your two piece version. Thank you. BTW, I make leather bags.
very good information simple and precise. would you be so kind to show a second video showing the other part. the part in the bag where you connect the strap. thank you very much! good work!
Hi! Now that you mention it, we do have a crossbody bag that we are thinking of doing a tutorial on. That video would show one method that is used on a bags with a gusset.
Using two pieces for the strap makes it so you can have an adjustable strap that has a strap end on both ends of the webbing. If you are making a fixed length strap, it is not necessary to use two pieces - or, you can make a one piece adjustable strap, but in that case you would only have the leather strap end on one end of the webbing.
Hi, Renate! Here I am responding 11 months later (shame on me)...I cut the longer strip to 50" long, but that can be adjusted - although I am sure you were probably done waiting for this response a long time ago. You know I am terrible with anything that isn't IG. I am trying to do better!😂

May I ask what the reason is for the extra squared ring and smaller piece of webbing? I normally do mine all in one piece so I’m just curious. Thanks.

We do not, but I believe someone in our Facebook group has created them. I will check on it. Thanks!
what machine are you using?
I believe this is the TechSew 4800.
❤️👍🏽
The short strap is 10”, how long do you usually cut your longer piece of webbing? Thanks 😊
