    Getting a few questions regarding where I buy my webbing! The one shown in this video isn't one I tend to use anymore. I lean more toward thinner seatbelt styled webbing these days. Here's my info copied from another response - none of the links are affiliate btw:
    I buy the herringbone seatbelt kind in bulk from Aliexpress shop Meetee World Store: www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804401919374.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.96.32951802RfwGBr&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa
    Note that's cheaper, but takes about 4-6 weeks to arrive! If you need it faster, hit up StrapWorks: www.strapworks.com/shop-by-product-type/webbing/polyester/seatbelt-polyester

    I love how you accentuate points, like the wrong side. It helps me to not overlook these important notables. I was doing these all wrong before

    Whoever thought that watching bag making videos could be so much fun? I’m having a blast and you crack me up every time I watch one of your videos.

    Dirty, Kinky and Lazy ! This is one of my favorite videos you have shared with us ... thank you for sharing and making it entertaining .... I have to also add that you made it so fun that I no longer feel intimidated in creating a cross body strap .. you are a gem !!!

    Your tutorials are always a delight!
    And Thank You for being the first person I've seen demonstrate the easy way to do these - namely, securing the middle of the slide FIRST, then looping the clasp, then weaving the strap through the slide, and finally adding the last clasp. That order seemed intuitive to me, but everyone else I've watched wants to weave the strap through the slide first, then add the clasps, and only secure the middle of the slide at the end. 🤪 It's bonkers, i tell ya!

      Everyone has their own way of doing things. It's why I love posting YT content! There's no big competitive feel to it here, whereas on Twitch we're competing against each other for viewers.

      There is a non-zero chance that I will have to come back and look at my own video at some point in the future just so I can remember how to do a crossbody strap after I've hyperfocused on clutches or wallets for a few months.

    Hi! I’m new to bag making
    I’ve noticed some squeaking noises coming from the strap on my bag. I’m using Nylon webbing and lobster claws, attached to a triangle strap connector.
    Any ideas as to what it might be or how to remedy this?

    • @fiercekittenz
      @fiercekittenz  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It might be the top part of the lobster clasp that connects to the ring to let it rotate. You can put a little bit of WD-40 or even sewing machine oil in it to quiet it down.

    What size is your cutting mat please? Also is it custom? I can't find purple ones anywhere 😔

      It’s by a brand I no longer support. The width is 36”, height is 24”. Fiskars has great mats!

    Thank you! I sewed mine last year, but this would be faster and look just as (or more professional)!
    My dirty tip for my webbing, though, that saves my fingers: buy a cheap heat knife and glass cutting board and then you always have a sealed end on your webbing roll AND on your webbing cut! 😈

    Thank you for the fun tutorial.
    Quick question, i always worry that the hole will fray under the rivet. I use fray check, but I'd rather not. What are your thoughts?

    • @fiercekittenz
      @fiercekittenz  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If it's nylon or polyester, just pop it with a lighter before putting the rivet in. The fray check is great if it's tightly woven. If it's cotton webbing though, I'd say the pressure from the rivet caps is sufficient in any situation. You really shouldn't see fraying at all as long as you used the correct size rivet.

    • @arriettysbags
      @arriettysbags 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@fiercekittenz I use the lighter on the ends, didn't think of in the holes lol. Thanks 🥰

      Rivets are awesome but I had issues with seatbelt style webbing with fraying. So I will try the lighter before the rivet. 🤦🏻‍♀️

    • @fiercekittenz
      @fiercekittenz  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@bettydarling2445 Oh yeah the seatbelt webbing has a fuzzy fray to it. I didn't melt one end enough on a test bag I used at Disney last year and it started to fray while I was there.
