That thing you called a brooch had a loop on the top, so looked like a pendant to me (although without seeing the back I can’t say for sure). If so, you would have needed to find a chain for it. Also, it was quite ugly, not the kind of jewellery that sells fast. So you dodged a bullet!
That's definitely one way of looking at it! Having said that, I have no expectations at the pop up auctions I attend and the traditional auction houses local to me don't accept low end clearance value stock. I'll be releasing another auction video tomorrow 😁👍

Very true and that's exactly why I steer clear of jewellery 🤣. What age would you put on it?

You don't lose when an auction item exceeds your acceptable price target. You win by not being the fool who buys it.
