I’m an Aussie that’s lived in NZ for 6 years now and never even knew about this jem! Thanks for sharing it with us I’ll be making the trip south to check it out as soon as I can!
Mate it is the best collection I have seen, just amazing, when you go do yourself a favour and buy the 2 venue pas and have a look at the transport museum while you’re there, it’s incredible
Have been binging on your channel all week. Just can't get enough of the Australian roads/scenery, and you all seem like really cool, good people! It's good to see m couples sharing adventures and passions! Stay safe.
Lovely little film, just after Xmas I went to the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, very similar, every bike was pristine. I notice Elaine didnt have a pie 😊👍👍
If you get the chance, check out Southwards Car Museum on the Kapiti Coast. Motor bikes, lots of cars including vintage Maserati & Bugatti race cars, a former American gangster's car and even a plane or two.
John Britten's daughter rebuilt the family home, after the Christchurch earthquake, and has one of the bike's on desplay at the Old,now newer, homestead, not sure, but i think, only on memory by the way,She runs a BNB,at the rebuilt homestead, there in Christchurch,John built the house himself, from salvaged, and recycled materials, and made all the fittings, light's,taps, everything himself,Sad lose for his family, same for NZ,and the World,What could have been
This collection was originally put together in Nelson NZ before heading south to Invercargill.Tom Sturgess was the owner but had to give it up when his health got the better of him.I saw the collection on the last day before the Nelson doors were closed.Hell of a collection.
Yes I read all about it, glad that he got to pass it onto a place as amazing as this, it was one of the best things I’ve seen in a motorcycle sense, I’d definitely go back again
