I’ve been addicted to this channel for about a month. Now, my facial expressions are so much more like Ms. Coyle’s than my own. Sadly, I’ve noticed people find me charming af these days 😂 people I’ve known for years become filled with the fuzzy wuzzy feeling of love when I mirror her expressions. I think Elizabeth has made me a more likeable main character

That is probably the sweetest thing anyone had ever said about me. Thank you😁

your video titled "Narrative Focus: Genre vs. Literary Fiction," really opened my mind one morning. I guess I just started unconsciously mimicking you at work a few hours later. And I really notice people think I'm ultra charming now and ten times more funny.

My notebooks are worse and I've been writing the same novel for 10 years. Granted it's a three part series, but haven't finished the first book. I love your videos.

I’m also writing a trilogy. I’m writing the first two. They are currently about 5000 words each

all my notes are in all caps when i was young i couldn't make the little letters come out so that's how i write everything when i sat down to write my first book nothing looked right in small letters so i write it in all caps the boy with the face painting is the first one im writing with mostly little letters its was hard at first but now i have gotten good at it

at least your writing space is nice and neat mine has stacks of index cards some of them have writing things but other have recipes like how to make dandelion honey others have my word counts on them and i have some tacked up of words i use all the time but forget how to spell and words that sound a like but spell differently and witch ones are used in what place i always have tape measure so if i need to see how long something might me i don't have to run and get it

i tend to use my note book to ask questions about the next scene for instance what are the pros and cons of doing a versus b what does a show about the world and the character, oooh i just thought of a c and d scenario now what are the implications of those, can i combine aspects of these some how, if what sort of person would behave like x, ooh that behaviour could be useful in this other book i want to write better make a note of it for them. or writing things that might come up in the book as connecting scenes if i get stuck, or think of ways to describe things, or being stuck for motivation or conflict/tension so i write out where sources of tension can come from, its not particularly organised, but neither are thoughts and as its to help think through problems i don't think than matters.

That's exactly how I think about my notebooks. Organizing a novel is hard enough. I don't need to organize my thoughts too!

Thank you! It is very fun to read your comments but TH-cam takes the thrill out of the hunt since it just tells me right away when old videos get new comments lol

      It's a blessing and a curse (mostly a curse)
