The funny thing is that her way of thinking about slot machines is actually spot on in 11. Certain machines that let you play the slime minigame can give you a special bonus that you can figure out by talking to one of the guides. That being said, no such guide exists in 8 and not enough western fans have dug deep enough in the core to figure out how the slot machines work.
