*A tormented genius who had a strong love-hate relationship to acting AND the world.* "a force of nature", as they sometimes say. a very remarkable man.
I'm so glad he did this, recorded his thoughts. At the time it might have seemed strange to his friends and family that he was talking into a tape recorder but he had to have known all these recordings, someone was going to find them. He documented his life in his own words. Such genius.
the greatest actor of all time...nobody comes close.Sure people may find him to be hardheaded but at the end of the day you just say.." cut, thats a wrap. Excellent work Marlon"
+daniel bødker i liked the fact tht he said he wasnt really good at anything except for acting. He wouldve been a good con man if he wasnt....wish these type of actors still existed.
We all know how good looking he was.... But few had the opportunity to know the man behind his good looks. He was very REAL, reason many called him crazy 💔
I envy him the way he lived, like in a movie, his life was filled with many adventures, women, travels, and many experiences. Smart, brave, full of positive energy, wisdom, passion, charismatic, handsome, a real man .❤
I wonder what his life would have been like if he wasn’t so good looking? He said he’d have been a con man but you need looks for that. He was so smart. What could he have done if he had to rely on his mind only? Would he have been happier?
The wheels get set in motion during childhood, and once they get going this determines one's fate for the most part. Everything that is to come wiĺl come.
Reminiscent of Samuel Beckett's "Krapp's Last Tape." Very worth watching. Brando never came to grips with his gift, gravitated from cause to cause seeking to be valued and relevant, became lazier and lazier over time, and let his world, his family, and his Tahitian island brethren fall to shambles. He's like a Peter Pan who grew old but never up; be became Kurtz!
TobieSoft i want to listen to all the full recordings too. i could listen to him all day every day. i just think that he was such a beautiful person inside and out and so intelligent and poetic in the way he speaks about things. i couldnt wait for this documentary to come out and i saved it on the dvr and i have watched it over 50 times now. and i mever get tired of it. i get sad knowing ill never be able to meet him but having this glimpse into his soul is amazing. i loved every second of it.
Well, they all said it. But none of them knew what they were saying. That's it, you see. People believing they are gods. They're not gods. They're closer to devils than gods.
Marlon and I don't know he was a genius at the performing arts easing tortured a lot with himself and therefore when you are you do have trouble relating to your fellow man are actors some actors that Madame said that that he treated them were looking down at them that might not be necessarily so if you don't feel good at different times he just left his emotions are 80s is sort of like an honest person and doesn't cover is
Sad his talent may have developed as a coping strategy for abuse. Also had the fortune or misfortune of being beautiful! Wonder if Brando’s rejection of his art was repeating the same rejection he got from him parents.
@@annettewilcox5413 He said why he was so ambivalent. He wanted the art, but companies made the commodity of him. Art was holy for him. He hated business part of his work.
Marlon keeps chasing me for a baby. But I don't want a baby now. I want an Apocalypse in A Street Capsule named 'Whaat'? Signed and sealed by Mark Wahlberg.
Not the death of Hollywood, there’s still Hoffman, Nicholson etc. Nicholson and Brandi were actually great friends. They lived near each other and so did Hoffman. The street they lived on was called ‘bad boy boulevard’
he was too generous with his seeds donated to so many people the way he speaks too just like inviting someone to bed lucky enough he didn't get STD i love marlon brando as a human but he had gone too far in dealing with his own pride & reputation 😭
Brando was selfish, perverse, had a horrible voice, and treated his women (and men) abominably, IMO. I have never understood why so many people think that he was wonderful. I don’t even think that his acting was that great, especially when he weighed 400+ pounds and refused to wear pants when filming scenes towards the end of his career.
Massively overrated in every way... bad actor (hammed it up constantly), not clever, very bad husband and father, and everyone still fawns over him. You've all got a silly hero worship complex in America I must say.
BAD ACTOR BUT WON TWO OSCARS? talking out of your ass right there.......the rest is none of my business or for that matter yours...! not clever? you knew him personally? nice hate fest you got going there....issues? see a Doctor!
Although I agree with being a bad husband. But you’re entitled to your own opinion, because Marlon was an intelligent and one of the greatest actor of all time.

Already seen this documentary 5 times. I can't get enough of it.
Where can I watch this? For free lol
I've just finished watching it. It was good!
Damn good I would say ;) A masterpiece!
There's Marlon Brando and then the rest, no doubt the best.
Me too!! Got the Dvd.
I'm so glad he did this, recorded his thoughts. At the time it might have seemed strange to his friends and family that he was talking into a tape recorder but he had to have known all these recordings, someone was going to find them. He documented his life in his own words. Such genius.
definitely the best looking actor ever
Mickey Rourke
He wasn’t just a pretty face though
Billion percent agreed
the greatest actor of all time...nobody comes close.Sure people may find him to be hardheaded but at the end of the day you just say.." cut, thats a wrap. Excellent work Marlon"
Dhyln Raynes Either him or Olivier
Yep.....oh yeah i forgot about lawrence.
the best actor of all time.Wish he had done more movies, but he seemed to loose interest in acting.

@@TheJaviferrol my thoughts exactly
Many consider him the greatest actor of all time & the most good looking
It was an amazing and intimate documentary that served Brando justice. What a great human being.
He’s such a good looking guy and a man of principles.
@John Doe Tell me about it
Great actor, but what principles? He was gluttonous and a total dick.
Not a man of principle
😂Nope. He’s the classic narcissist
Great voice of Brando's, nice smile, acting, singing, dancing!
He was a contender, no doubt about this
We all know how good looking he was.... But few had the opportunity to know the man behind his good looks. He was very REAL, reason many called him crazy 💔
Όσοι τον λένε τρελό είναι ηλίθιοι
They don't make people like Brando anymore. I don't care about his acting. His person was far more interesting.
A real enigma!!! A stunning actor and person!!!! Bravo forever!!!!!🌹🌹🌹
not an enigma. he just felt a connection
A GOOD LOOKING LEGEND
He was the most handsome man of all time, definitely very sad that his life was so tragic, the price of fame I guess and early childhood trauma.
The Blessed most noble Prophet Of God ! Sayiduna Muhammad PBUH is the Most Handsome and Perfect MAN of all TIME ! ❤❤

Johnny Depp's impression of MB is spot on....
Not just a legend he was a god and he was the greatest and successful man who ever lived
I wonder what his life would have been like if he wasn’t so good looking? He said he’d have been a con man but you need looks for that. He was so smart. What could he have done if he had to rely on his mind only? Would he have been happier?
Well.. Fake people couldn't "love" him then. So yeah it would be better for him to not look like god.
Con man or con artist doesn't need to be good looking. They just need confidence or sell confidence hense confidence man.
He wouldn't be Marlon Brando if he hadn't had that face. His looks definitely helped him maneuver in the world, in a way many wouldn't be capable.
The wheels get set in motion during childhood, and once they get going this determines one's fate for the most part. Everything that is to come wiĺl come.

1:20 Who is with Marlon there? Looks so similar to him, like his brother, but from what I've read Marlon had two sisters..
Montgomery Clift. The footage is from Marlon Brando's home movies.
I love marlon brando more for his heart than his looks
Έπρεπε να βγει και δευτερο ειχε πολυ υλικο ο μαρλον και το αξιζει
*I never knew of this documentary... Im gonna have to search for it on terrarium where Can I see this!!?*
Wow. ;)
Brando done for movies, what Elvis done for music.
You mean Michael Jackson
elvis was a racist who stole his music and ideas from other unknown black artists
Idiot
* what The Beatles done for music*
Marlon didn't steal his acting ability from another race Elvis did.
That looks brilliant, where can i watch that??
I watched it many times for free on TH-cam before it became so popular.
Ну клевый да. Все фильмы пушка особенно молодой когда был, Он и смотрелся норм стильно и темы глубокие для общества трогал.

This is reminiscent of the new I Am Heath Ledger doc. In the way they both documented their lives.

Could we skip the "documentary" and just have the audio?
Or was there no money to be made off that for CBS?
