Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and experience about retirement. This is very helpful to know especially for those who are looking in to retiring early❤
Such a lovely & sophisticated/well educated couple it’s always a pleasure to partake in your journey. Thank you 🙏🏾 both & may the Most High continue to enrich your lives🫡🥰
Mutua and your wife, it is great that you are exploring early about your retirement. I am a grandpa, and it's tough to decide where and how to retire. But l believe that when one has good resources in one's country of origin, it's easier to retire there. I think it is easier to adjust.
Planing my retirement from Canada to kenya . Built 2house in nairobi and village , few other plots here and there , and secured a work from home job (as a source of solid income) but still I have a challenge with kids school (planning) I have a yutube also ( still working on it)
Hey Mutua3, nice video. Very insightful and educative. Retirement is always something that needs to be planned rather than something impulsive. Anne is a good interviewer and you're a good interviewee. Can't wait for the next one on " borrowing salt" from the neighbors...we see how it pans out 👍😜 Watching and following... Ben from Zambia 🇿🇲
Eye opening video,l think l have an idea of your new business venture,l picked it up when you were in Africa. You were giving hints and because l follow you critically l notice a trend.Ann is now master at camera no longer camera shy.
Hi Mr. Mutua and your beautiful wife Anne. Nice to see you and enlightening some of us on how to kujipanga when we come to the US in Jesus Mighty Name. Good content and God bless you and family
It has been 5 yrs since I retired. It has been wonderful for me. I volunteer with meals on wheels these days. I love it. You need to have enough income to sustain you throughout your retirement. You never know what may happen. Like I had a bad leak in my kitchen sink, I ended up having to replace the whole bottom kitchen cabinets because of water damage. So make a plan and know what your income will constantly be for you to live on and for emergencies. God bless 🙌
Hello Mr. Mutua , My name is George, I am one of your subscribers, I saw a Video of your Farm in Ukambani and I was impressed with your Mangoes. I am interested in getting seedlings for Mangoes from Ukambani, can you give me any leads please?
I appreciate the information on retiring and homes from one part of the world traveling to different places you see a lot of banded buildings in the community I believe those are some of the issues that people face when they cannot continue to build their houses in Jamaica,
I'm thinking they had a job for years and got benefits and a 401k and walked away. If they didn't plan well then have to come back and start over, they lost all those benefits. I often wonder if their desire to return to their home country is partly lack of assimilation. It's a no brainer to not have a home and income. A wise man plans. No social life depends on what part of the country you live in. The Midwest has different activities like men fishing, boating, camping in the summer. Fall has hunting. Winter has skiing, I've skating and various activities. In the east I think it's harder to assimilate. Don't forget if you have a church family makes a big difference anywhere.
Great discussion. If you can have the people you interviewed in one of your live discussions it would be amazing as hearing from the first party narrative and experience makes it more interesting.
You guys can be interesting if you are going to make these kind of vlogs be part of your content. You are just offering free lessons on retirement plan to many.
Another great video and content coverage. To gain more from the series you could expound each of the six points one video or series at a time. You could also keep the six points in mind and when you make new videos think about trying to associate a point with th new video you are making. For instance, this is our home here in the U.S. we have x amount of living space running water, and very reliable electricity. To have the same amount of slave and living conditions in x part of Kenya In today’s market will take x. Show footage of your home. Show how much it will cost for running water. Is there a special price to have running water in the village compared to living in Nairobi. Also you and Ann should see if you could take a video class and learn to edit videos for different transitions and music.
@@mutua2016 Very interesting topic. But I wonder how one would transition from modern conveniences to having to go to a river or outdoor toilet that is a hole in the ground. Can old people squal that low.
Hi, Mutua 3 There is friend of my friend of mine who was visiting from Indianna and she has been building her home and came to officially open it.Her friend from US came back about six months to Kenya and continue to stay in Nairobi and is afraid to go up country .Just imagine .
Hi Mutua and Anne. This is great content. I am wondering if you could take up the cost of managing own properties while one lives abroad.E-g a caretaker, electricity, security can go up to 20000 Ksh/month for a home in Nairobi. So as you have this nice retirement house waiting for you for 10-20 years you need to think first of how to raise that money either in Kenya(using same property as Airbnb ) or abroad from your income. What do you think?
60million shillings you can buy 4 staircase rental apartment in Nairobi so 2 of them are 120million shillings depending on you and you will be receiving income every month for early retirement
I do not think an African can give an honest opinion of the U,S.A, especially since you have not traveled over all of our country. You can give your opinion about your apartment building or the street you live on, but not the U.S.A. We do things different here. We are a classy country , so a lot of what we do is planned. We do not have to run to peoples houses every day . we have hundreds of ways to socialize with each other.
I am a silent sub but today I must comment that MR and MRS mutual are very smart ❤🎉

You didn't have insurance?
@divadiva684 . Yes, I do. My son in law is a plumber, and he did the work for me. I was using that parable as an example of an emergency.
Thank you for that information
@@mutua2016 Blessing to you and your family. Loved the video. Keep doing great things.

Ann is a good interviewer ❤
Well done guys. Eye opening and informative interview/discussion. Do you guys mind disclosing what you did for work?
Not at all. On our next videos we will most likely get into more details of what we will definitely be doing

That friend shouldn't be afraid of going Upcountry. There are so many areas she can visit
There are plenty of established American system institutions in Kenya
The most "importanta" point....and most vilagges in Africa are built on clanship/kinship where cultural norms reign.

Yes we can
Mr mutua and Ann hope we meet one day
I think the kids are at the top of the list. Will they continue living here or go back home with you?
We are currently discussing those with issues
60million shillings you can buy 4 staircase rental apartment in Nairobi so 2 of them are 120million shillings depending on you and you will be receiving income every month for early retirement
True
Hi mutua ,you are manganyo?!
Give an incentive to interview someone live eg offer to host them for a week for free in Kenya.
Thank you for your advice
Same Spot With Ann
This is a very important topic for us in the Diaspora
