Jody, just having met Donna and standing up for her to the douche X.. magnificent! I really love that Jody got through this episode without any broken bones. I enjoy our little stalker ray of sunshine Donna.. good chemistry with the two of them. They do panels together at conventions... and a podcast.
I thought it was hilarious how serious Dean says Sam should be proud of the fake badge he made. He's not being sarcastic he truly feels pride in his brothers work
Thank you Jess for reading our comments about the spinoff. The writers eventually realized thier mistake. They got thier act together with a Donna and jody spinoff 2 seasons later. The damage was already done though.
I loved that Jodi and Donna received space for their own heart to heart at the end of the episode. I know they did it to contrast someone just starting out on their supernatural journey to that of the boys, well and truly seasoned. Still, it felt like an acknowledgment of how important Jodi is to the show; it's downright heartwarming.
I agree with you completely, the most rewatchable episodes of Supernatural in my opinion are the ones not tied to the main plot, sometimes the filler is better than the main plot
Jodi has grown into such a great character and I'm glad she's getting her own story arcs. And Donna was a great fit for her both are great together! This show has a great supporting/reoccurring cast sadly many of them don't get their own episodes or arc and get killed off way way too soon. Glad Jodi is one of the few exceptions
Oh, they did want this as a spinoff, but it also didn't get picked up for reasons that will be clarified later. I got to hug Briana Buckmeister (Donna) at a con and I am serious when I say that it fixed me. She's such an amazing person!
Even though its brief I loved the talk between the brothers at the end where Dean confesses that he has felt the Mark's influence on him and Sam was right in what happened two episodes back. It shows real progress that Dean is being open and truthful about whats going on with him.
I'm glad that you can see at first glance the potential of this duo. Jody and Donna work well together, and as much as Jody is part of the brother's emotional support system (not that they use it, mind you), I feel that Donna could bring something to the Winchesters. 'Stuff you "dean" or whatever your real name is' gets me at every rewatch! She's a nice person, and she might let her ex get the better of her, but she ain't weak and she can hold her own in front of Dean freaking Winchester. Kudo girl!
"So you mean to tell me they wanted that other episode as a spin-off and not this one?" Those were my thoughts exactly! Love Jody and Donna, so put them together and the dynamic is great. I think the only thing I dislike is that it was vampires again. Could we not have a different monster that eats people down to the bone? The last Jody episode was about vampires too.
Spoilers if you haven't finished the series... They actually was planning a spinoff with Jodi, Donna, Claire, Alex and another that I can't remember the name. The main monsters was supposed to be creatures from the Bad place (the place that Jack opened the rift to find where Sam and Dean was stuck at) If I remember correctly, they was going to call the show, Wayward Sisters. It's a shame that it never happened. I think it would have been way better than The Winchesters that we did get.
I actually can't just pick a random episode and rewatch it, I have to watch the complete story from front to back, which is why I've seen my 3 favorite shows (SPN, GOT, TWD) so many flippin times. I just miss the characters so much that I have to go back and watch all over again.
Season 10 is still one of my favorite seasons. I've said for a while I would have been ok with the show ending after this season. We will get to the ending of this season when we get there.
Donna felt like natural addition. over the years, the show has losz so many allies for Sam and Dean. But its nice to see them slowly gaining friends/allies. Jodie, now Donna. I guess Cas was the original add on but he seems like hes been here from the start at this point. Welcome Donna to World Winchester. Jody has alot to catch you up on.
heh, You describing Donna reminded me of that episode of "Buffy" with the Vampire version of Willow and Willow had to imitate her doppelganger - the scene with the low cut dress - "gosh, look at those." LOL
This is also an episode that I love! ❤❤❤ It's all because of the Jodi/Donna dynamic, for all the reasons you mentioned. I love both of those characters & was so disappointed their spin-off didn't happen. 💛🧡🩷🎉🎉
I'd like to apoligize for my inconsiderate comment. I've followed you for a while now and I just lashed out. You're a lot of fun to watch. Again, I'm sorry.
I do love this episode, but the girl who plays the main vampire is just terrible. Her acting is so bad, I hate to use the word cringe, but that's what she is. Ugh, just awful. The rest is amazing, though. I love the Jodi and Donna dynamic ❤
Jody and Donna on the same screen is of the best things to happen in the whole show.
Agreed, those two are pure gold!

I love those two being a duo. Judy and Donna, as a team. I love Donna being brought in and added on into the family.

Love this season to, though I prefer if Season 11 is where they ended it

It's okay, I don't think I saw it lol
