I feel such compassion for Jonathon and anyone who has struggled with their desire for same sex relationships. We Christians understand that homosexual sin is no different than any other sin.
How blessed we are to have a God that can forgive any sin when we confess and repent of that sin. A sin that is remembered no more!

Men can't see our faith but they certainly can see our works.
Simple enough, I can choose to have an alive faith or a dead faith, nothing to do with salvation at all.
James is really about having a practical faith that helps others and cannot contradict Galatians 2: 16, 2:21, Ephesians 2: 8, 9,10, Romans 4: 5, 6, and Romans 11: 6, which clearly seperate faith from works of any kind.

@@kaseytyler6262 Kasey, there is no little sin are big sin. When it comes to the word of God. We have to Study to show thy self to be approved in Jesus Christ and not be so much judging other people, because we are already judged by the word of God. God said, let no man trouble me and I do not believe in debates. We all are to grow in God. I was brought up in Church, and had back slide on the Lord and at that time I thought there was nothing wrong with Singing with a Band in a night club, making money. The reason that I am using this as an example of my Life, because at that time as I thought there was nothing wrong with Singing in a night club making money. When my Mother being a Christian, told me I was wrong to do so. We are not to give an appending on other's that what we think will trouble them. Jesus Christ, is the Answer to all no matter what you do in Life. People have to stand before Jesus Christ, own there own, not People. That is why we are giving the word of God, the KJV Bible, to Study and then we grow in Jesus Christ, as we live for him and he is the one that teaches us right from wrong, as we experience the Love of Jesus Christ, to help all humans no matter if they are Black, White, Pink, Green, Gay, Latino, German, Chinese or American, short, fat or skinny, a Drug addict, a drunk, A Homsexual or a Stripper; Jesus Christ, is there for all of us. He died on the Cross for all of us and came off that Cross being risen that we may have Life eternal. Read in Romans 6:23. I do believe that this Story bringing this man back to Life of giving him another chance to serve him and having Study Book's on helping all people come to Jesus Christ, is what my neighbors that are gay need in Jesus Christ, to not give up on hope in Jesus Christ, when some people think they are to good to help win any Soul to God, they better think twice. God said, for who ever shall come unto me. We have to Love everyone and let them come to Jesus Christ, on there own, as Jesus Christ, has brought you to Jesus Christ, I do think that is beautiful and I will be praying for you to grow closer and stronger in Jesus Christ, with his Love and direction as you may Travel in this World, in caring of this Life that you may take. God Bless you Kasey Tyler, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. 🙏🙏🙏

To have someone at your death bedside who can grab hold of God's ear, effectively intercede for you and will not abandon you to hell or the medical solutions that hospitals and doctors promote is an amazing blessing. Where do you find people like that who can pray in faith and actually get problems solved or done? I really doubt that if or when I get into life threatening kind of trouble that anyone with that sort of faith would show up to reverse the expected natural prognosis. I am terrified that my stupidity will eventually get me in more trouble than I have faith resources to escape. Though I pray often to God through Jesus Christ my faith that I will get that sort of answer is so horribly weak that I am so often terrified as I grow older that somehow my faith has not secured my salvation though it is almost taboo to admit that fear and dread that will not go away. In many ways I do not know if my negative confession of an inadequate faith is equally displeasing to God as a positive confession that they all say is supposed to please God I feel is hypocritical and equally displeasing. Is it damned if I do and damned if I don't or saved if I do and saved if I don't? The doctrine of Infinite inexhaustible grace demands the latter is true. Yet the proper response is that when I once believed that I was saved and Jesus will "no not never" leave or forsake me. To agree with the scripture when all the moral, biblical and political ground around me is shaking and sinking into Hell seeking to swallow me up and consume me and any remnant of faith Why then is my faith so poor and ineffective and people like those at your bedside are so positive and effective? Why will this thought that everything is not OK a thought that like Paul's thorn just will not go away? it does not matter if I read the Bible pray naturally or in tongues or even meditate on the scriptures participate and ask honest questions about the scriptures in Sunday school. Whether my faith was ever effective for my salvation and at times I believe it was why do I still get this thought and cannot escape it the grace of God is inadequate and I still am not saved? If my initial belief in Jesus alone is not enough then what other response if any is God waiting for? Why then am I still here and still thinking that somehow I missed something essential that I cannot find. if I press cancel will God be more pleased than if I press comment or is it the other way around? This is what I struggle with constantly in most of my postings. However there are a few postings that I am proud to post because few others skip over questions and issues I raise. Often I wonder if even if I went through such a near death experience that it would make any difference in the issue of thoughts that bring me doubts and fears. The Bible does not say that God loved the world in such a manner that all who have near death experiences involving Jesus Christ will not perish but secure eternal life. Can human experience really save? Did Christs appearance save doubting Thomas? Would doubting Thomas been just as saved before Jesus appeared to him as after he appeared to him had Jesus never appeared to him? if Jesus had never appeared to doubting Thomas would he still have been effective in his witness? When we say the word "Witness" what we mean is to declare something we saw or experienced. How can people who have never seen Jesus or experienced Him ever call themselves witnesses when they only read the scriptures and in the imagination of their hearts painted a picture of Him in His resurrection? Yet when they go evangelizing or soul winning they call this witnessing. DUH I never quite got this.

So many questions. Why not ask God for the Answers to the questions you have. I think you sound all over the place. Start with the foundation. John 3:16. Do you believe or not ? If you believe Jesus Christ died was buried and rose on the third day from the grave. You will be saved. That's it.
You can't earn salvation. You can only accept /believe Jesus Paid It all for your son.and you get the gift of eternal life. Or you don't believe and you perish. believe of not believe. That's the question.
      So that's John 3:16
      Also Ephesians 2:8,9
Those two scriptures will be a foundation for you. Forget the gospels. Unless you read John's gospel because the other three are not for you. You're not a Jew. The word of God has to be rightly divided. So start with those dear.
And if you want to know more about salvation security and why it's a gift for you right now, and lasts forever,
Please watch Yankee Arnold on youtube channel. He's 80 years old. And his life's been about sharing how to be saved with the lost. I can't recommend Yankee enough.
Hope that's a wee help to your questions being answered. And some clarification in the fog.

    • @colonalklink14
      @colonalklink14 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@ZezimaMills He adds a lifetime of works to the gospel message.
Nobody has ever been saved by repenting of their sins.
Jonah 3: 10 calls turning from sins, "works".
" And God saw their works that they turned from their wicked way..."
Repentance of sins is a lifetime of works and has never saved anyone or contributed in any way to salvation.
If repentance of sins helps save you in any way then it had better be perfect repentance.
God's standard is absolute perfection, not your best efforts.
      Trying doesn't count.
Not even one sin is allowed to be in Heaven.
The book of James says that if you follow the whole law and offend in one point you are guilty of all.
Oops, so much for helping out with your salvation by attempting to repent of your sins.
God grants repentance unto the acknowledgement of the truth.
Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.
The only sin you must repent of is the sin of unbelief!!!
How can you possibly trust Christ alone for salvation when you are also trusting in your performance ( repenting of sins/obedience)?
      You absolutely can't.
      Ray Comfort has another gospel.

2 Corinthians 7:10 says, "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of, but the sorrow of the world worketh death "
To repent means to change the direction of your life 180°. If you're truly born again, you no longer want to sin. It's a change of heart and mind. It doesn't mean you don't sin anymore in this life. But as you read and study the Bible and fellowship with Jesus, inviting Him to teach you His ways, you sin less. You learn to love people the way He does. Most importantly, you practice humility and always strive to give Jesus all the credit and glory.
When you start reading the Bible, it's highly recommended to start with the Gospel of John so you can get to know the heart of the Savior. The Gospel of John is powerful and transforms human hearts. There are many former Muslims who leave Islam and embrace Christianity because they find real love for the first time. Jesus is revealing Himself to many people in the middle east, and so many choose to follow Him. 😊🤗👍

There is only one place of safety, one place of salvation, the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ that paid the full penalty for all our sins.
Jesus loves you and wants you to spend eternity in heaven with Him. But that cannot happen unless you are born again.
So first admit that you are a sinful creature, like we all are. Then believe that Jesus is who He says He is: fully God and fully man. He came to earth and lived a perfect, sinless life. He shed His blood on the cross to pay the penalty for all your sins, past, present and future sins. For the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from ALL unrighteousness, no matter what you have done! He died, was buried, and rose again on the third day.
All you have to do is believe that. Believe it by putting one hundred percent of your faith and trust in Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross, without adding in any of your own good works or being good. That won’t save you! It has nothing to do with belonging to any church or practicing any religion.
The moment you believe is like a personal encounter in your heart between you and God himself where you tell Him you believe and that you receive Christ Jesus the Lord and where you call on His name. For the Scripture says: All who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
The moment you believe you are born again, you are saved. You receive the Holy Spirit who will indwell you forever. Because salvation is eternal you can never lose it.
So I hope you believed because the alternative would be to endure eternity in hell, paying for your sins. And nobody wants that. That is, if you should choose not to believe the good news about Jesus Christ and what He did for you on the cross.
So what does the Scripture say?
    John 3
3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
36He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
    Romans 10
9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

    BELIEVE LIKE A CHILD
Is it perhaps your desire to enter the kingdom of heaven? Do you wish you had certainty about it? Here is what the Lord Jesus had to say about it:
"Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein." Luke 18:17.
What did Jesus mean by these words? Notice that Jesus said, "receive" the kingdom; He did not say "work for" or "earn" the kingdom. How then can we be sure to receive the kingdom of God as a little child and truly enter therein?
To know what Jesus meant we have to understand how a little child receives, since this is what Jesus requires of anyone who wishes to enter the kingdom of God. Have you ever noticed how a little child receives things, let's say from his parents or grandparents? Think about it for a while. By observation we know that little children receive without any inclination that they ought to EARN or DESERVE what is given to them. It does not occur to them that they should first become worthy or deserving. It is clear that little children always receive in humility and without reservations.
Little children truly know how to receive a gift. They display an absence of pride and self-sufficiency; they simply receive without works and without merit. They do not feel that they first have to earn or deserve what is given to them. They do not measure themselves by their own performance and try to judge whether they should be considered worthy of the gift. They do not think to bring the question of their own merits or goodness into the equation.
This, dear friend, is the simple point that Jesus was making. He is saying that this is the way that we need to receive the greatest gift that anyone can ever receive -- the gift of eternal life in His kingdom.
The reason we need to receive it as a little child is because, try as we may, we can never earn or deserve it through our own merits, goodness or performance. God Almighty is holy and righteous and cannot look upon sin; His standard is perfection. Even if we have failed only once in our lifetime to fulfill even the smallest commandment in the law of God, we fall short of that perfection. The Bible states that:
"All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
We all have failed to keep God's moral law, the 10 commandments perfectly; we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. We can never change our imperfection and make ourselves acceptable to God by trying to be good.
    Isaiah 64:6 says:
"But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."
God is holy and righteous and therefore has to punish sin. The Bible also reveals that God is love and does not want anyone to be damned to an eternity in hell. So the Creator Himself chose to become flesh and to pay the penalty for our sin, which is death.
    John 3:16-18 states:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
By simply trusting wholeheartedly in the finished work of Jesus, who lived a perfect and sinless life and died for our sin on the cross, and by receiving this free gift of the forgiveness of sin and eternal life by His grace, anyone, regardless of what terrible sins they may have committed, can be be born again by the Spirit of God and receive the gift of eternal life.
This is how good God is: He was willing to take the punishment for our sin upon Himself. He is unlike anything that we will ever encounter in this dark world that has been marred by man's rebellion and sin and Satan's subsequent evil dominion.
God created mankind with a free will to choose for themselves what they will and will not believe, and what they will and will not receive. He will never force His love and gifts on anyone. He will never force anyone to have a relationship with Him. In His mercy and love He offers it but still allows everyone to choose to receive it, or not to receive it. The Bible says that God is love. He is a God of mercy and grace. Mercy means that we do not get the judgment, condemnation and punishment that we deserve. Grace means that we get all the good from God that we do not deserve. God is both -- He is both merciful and gracious.
Our human pride is what leads us to think that we somehow have to earn or deserve God's favour and gifts through our own performance, good conduct and meritorious deeds. But that is deception. We tend to reason that we first have to become 'good enough' before God would forgive us and accept us and allow us entrance into His kingdom. We don't realise that God requires perfection. So we focus on ourselves instead of on what Jesus has done for us through His perfect, finished work on the cross and the complete payment He has made for all our sins, past, present and future, through His blood sacrifice.
To receive what Jesus did for us requires humility and faith, both of which is found in abundance in a little child.
Thinking that we ought to merit the things of God will actually prevent us from receiving them, for it is contrary to the way a little child receives. It CANNOT be earned by us. It was earned on our behalf by what Jesus Christ has done for us and we just have to receive it as a gift. If indeed we could earn it then it would mean that we would have opportunity to boast in ourselves. Yet, our imperfect performance can never satisfy God's standard of perfection.
The only way that we can receive eternal life in the kingdom of God is to receive it from Him as a free gift. It is not available to us in any other way. We can never earn the things of God.
The Bible makes it very clear:
"For the wages of sin is death; but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT of God: not of works, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Having said all this we can see how our human pride can be a major hindrance to our receiving from Him, not only the free gift of eternal life and the complete forgiveness of our sins that would secure our entrance into the kingdom of God through being born again, but everything else that we need and that He has provided for us by His grace in Christ; things like healing, provision and blessing. God is truly a good, good God. But we can only receive from Him if we are willing to receive as a little child. My earnest prayer is that you do.
God wants us to trust in Jesus like we would trust a parachute. Only His perfect work on the cross saves us from God's righteous judgement on our sin. Believe that Jesus died for your sins, was buried and rose again from the dead on the third day and God will impute the righteousness of Christ to you and make you a new creature in Christ.
    P.s.
    Titus 3:4-7
"But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
    Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
    Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."
    Romans 10:9-11,13
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
    Amen.

Can someone please tell me what part of a person is tormented in hell? The Scriptures say that the dead are not conscious of anything! Ecclesiastes 9:5,10! When a person dies they return to the dust, the spirit returns to God, Ecclesiastes 12:7! The Scriptures say that the soul dies, is not immortal! Ezekiel 18:4,20! So what is left to torture? Nothing! God told Adam that the consequences for disobedience would be death! Not eternal torment in hellfire! Genesis 2:17! In the book of Romans we read that the wages or price paid for sinning is death! Romans 6:23! So whose word will you believe? Almighty God's, who cannot lie, NUMBERS 23:19? Or the word of Satan and his children? Remember, Satan is misleading the entire inhabited earth, Revelation 12:9; 1John 5:19! In order to receive everlasting life either in heaven or on a Paradise earth we must worship the Father with spirit and truth, John 4:22-24; Isaiah 42:8; Psalms 83:18! Choose wisely, Armageddon is right around the corner!

It's the physical body that doesn't know anything. The soul is the mind, will and emotions. We are three parts. The spirit and soul return to God for judgement.

@@thewhole_picture1743 The Scriptures say that the soul dies, Ezekiel 18:4,20! The spirit doesn't return to God for judgement, in Roman's 6:23 it says that the wages or price paid for sinning is death! Once a price is paid, the debt is cancelled! That is why Roman's 6:7 says, "For the one who has died has been acquitted from his sin!"

@@carolmueller3191 In that context it's referring to the physical body. Like when a ship sinks and they say "there were 230 souls on board that were lost". You need to understand the way language is used in the Bible.

      Death is, “separation from God”.
For example, “the body without the spirit is dead”, James wrote.
We are more than just a body. We have the breath of life from God. We know God is eternal, we also, as spiritual beings from God, have life that entered the body at birth and leaves at the death of the body.
Your inside, inside is the real you. Your earthen vessel is a manifestation in time.

@@ZezimaMills Ezekiel 18:4,20 says that the soul dies! Death is the absence of life! When a person dies, in order to live again a resurrection must take place, John 5:28,29! When a person is dead, no other part of them is alive, we are not immortal! Satan told Eve, you certainly will not die! If any part of her lived on after God told her that the punishment for disobedience would be death, the Devil told the truth! That would make God a liar! Titus 1:1; Numbers 23:19!
