  • As a keynote speaker and the award-winning author of The Money Master, Sandy Yong sheds light on two of the most taboo topics: money and mental health. In Sandy Yong's TEDx Talk, she opens up about her raw and emotional childhood experiences surrounding money and mental health. These experiences influenced her to embark on a journey towards achieving financial independence. She shares the importance of taking control of your financial future, building sound money habits and creating a vision board to help you achieve your dreams. Sandy Yong is a self-directed investor who successfully generated a 6-figure investment portfolio and owns several rental properties. As a Keynote Speaker, she teaches female millennials how to invest in the stock market and real estate. With her award-winning book, The Money Master, Sandy has been featured in hundreds of media outlets including Forbes, The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star and NBC News. Most recently, she's been named Top 10 From The Past 10 from the Ted Rogers School of Management. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

This is very good. I had some Indians friends and they said to me when I save for the future, they said “ brother, what happens if you get hit by the bus tomorrow?”

Thank you, Sandy for all the knowledge and advice. Coming from a second generation Asian low income household, it’s hard to talk about and understand money. From your energetic and positive TedTalk, I start to realize more and more putting the pieces together. I have a question though, how do you make a blueprint of your financial projection? I know how to save well, but no clue how to invest to make an decent compounding profit. Regardless, if you could show me some tips it, would be greatly appreciated. I am 27 years old and live in the states.
    Sincere,
    Jua (An Ultra-Proton)

If your dad was so wise, then why did he made such a financial blunder during your childhood?
