Bissell Bark Bath QT 2nd Gen Portable Dog Bath Unboxing & Demonstration

- In this video I unbox and demonstrate the Bissell Barkbath QT model 2290A and show it in use on my miniature Dachshund Daisy. This is the second generation machine that has since been discontinued but a third generation model is available with improved features and the ability to use it as a spot cleaner around the home. This portable all-in-one system can be used in any room of the house, anytime, with a minimal mess - eliminating the inevitable clean-up that comes along with washing a four-legged family member.
Sound/noise emitted is similar to a vacuum. For best results, your dog should not be afraid of the sound of a vacuum. Training steps are provided in the user guide materials to acclimate noise-sensitive and anxious dogs.
Specially designed nozzles get beneath the fur and down to the skin to allow water and shampoo to wash the skin clean, while a soft suction pulls dirt and water into a separate dirty water tank.Power Rating: 2.75 amps
Cleans an 80lb.+ dog with any length of fur or hair with less than 48 oz. of water vs traditional bathing in a tub which can use up to 19 gallons of water. Best for dogs +20 lbs. Hose Length: 4' Hose on machine; Tool Hose Length 6.9'

I have this a thumbs up just because Daisy was such a sweet little trooper! As for the Bissell, THUMBS DOWN!!! Too noisy & too messy. My dogs will still get a tub bath.

Thanks Daisy for partaking in the test of this preposterous device. It won't clean the paws (usually the dirtiest part), the head and I certainly wouldn't want to use it near the "other end" of the dog. Also: no-rinse shampoo?! Imagine a hairdresser trying to pull all this off on their customers. 🤨
I have one, and I clean dogs' paws and head separately. I do a clear water cycle to rinse my dog. 🥱

I have one because I have a puppy who is loving until wash time, then it's a fight to the death. This has helped a bit.
I bought one of these when they were new. I found it clunky and messy to use. I ended up just getting an upholstery attachment from a Little Green as using it as a spot cleaner. Bissell does have a new bark bath that can be used as both a dog bath and an upholstery cleaner

They should have the rinse and shampoo button right on the handle so you don't have to get up and switch it. It seems inconvenient if you're dog is being bathed further away from the machine.
Hey roger theres a Bissell little green spot cleaner and we have one we use it for thw car truck or our couch
They probably didn’t include their normal attachments like the kind that spin maybe because theirs a chance that something that spins might get wrapped up in the dogs hair and end up hurting the dog?

Hiya gosh it must be 4 years since I sold it back to you it's such a shame I put it in the loft in a hot summer and all my hoovers went yellow 😢😢 that was pale gray plus the pipe wasnt shortened that's how you sold it to me, great to see it again..

Clearly, you are one of the more enlightened members of society.
Part of the noise reduction compared with a regular Bissell unit is probably the lower motor wattage, our one at work is something like 750-850W and this having a 2A suction motor means that said motor can be no more than 240W (I*V), now there will, be some extra wattage to account for the solution pump but that won't account for the difference.
One thing I am surprised about with the Bissell Spotclean is the quality of the mains lead, a nice ribbed rubber cable whereas the VAX equivalent is just normal grey cheapo PVC flex.
