- NetEase Games just revealed MARVEL RIVALS and this game is a direct competitor to Overwatch 2 and...it actually looks good!!

I think OverWatch will still be alive cuz of its first person dynamic. Marvel rivals will feel a little more like a moba cuz of its third person perspective
Bro we’re on the same wavelength. The trailer defo gave me Smite vibes. And ofc Overwatch will still be alive. The game is massive with a big fan base. But if Marvel Rivals is done right with limited micro-transactions, it could be a worthy competitor 👀
Better comparison is rogue company shooter but third person
Rogue Company was already a 3rd Person Shooter. Plus Rogue Company was more like a “3rd person CSGO” than a Hero Shooter like Overwatch imo

As a doomfist main, im offended.
Hulk needs way more mobility in his kit to be doom. Hes more like Rein without a shield and with a Winston Leap.
Game looks great but all the mobility seems so safe and stale, like Echo Pharah Genji, and less like Doomfist Ball and Lucio. Need more momentum based movement

In the promotional images, it shows Punisher with a big turret so he could be a Soldier 76/Bastion hybrid (kinda op ngl)

Health: 250
Speed: medium
M1: A Raygun with 75 damage and 8 ammo.
M2 [The Colony]: Ant-Man can send a swarm of ants onto either enemies to slow them down, allie teamates and barricades to heal them, or health packs to use them on himslef.
L SHIFT [Pym particles]: This ability begins at 100%, for every second It is being used 3% is drained, for very second not in use 1% is restored. When using It Ant-man gets slightly increased speed, his health bar and player tag is hidden from enemies making him very stealthy and his hitbox is drastically reduced, at the cost of his health dropping down to 150.
E [Enlargement disks]: Throw a single disk that will damage and slightly enlarge the enemy hit by It for 8s.
F [Shrinking disks]: Throw 3 disks in a shotgun like pattern that will shrink and drop the health of enemies hit by them to 150 for 6s.
Q/ULTIMATE [Goliath]: Activating the Ultimate will cause Ant-man to grow twice his size giving him 1000 health and generating an earthquake that will stun enemies near a small radius for 1.5s. When enlargened he gains two new moves for the 15s the ability is active, a stomp in a cone like pattern in front of him that behaves similarly to the earthquake but without the stun, and a rock throw that goes in an arch and does 300 damage.

Well there is a story/lore planned for this game so I’m hopeful there’ll be something. But I bet the story missions would act as tutorials for all the Characters at the same time I think

The spider people being locked for xbox is unfair and just a blatant disadvantage if its real, i highly doubt it
Same thing happened for Marvel Avengers. All platforms had access to all Heroes except for Spider-Man which was a PlayStation exclusive. I highly doubt this will happen again but I wouldn’t be surprised if it does :/

Overwatch's name is too big like Fortnite's that it won't die for a while because when people think of first person hero shooters they mostly think of Overwatch. So yeah this will probably be just another game in that genre but Overwatch still has a long way to go.

Overwatch will ofc survive. But I don’t think Marvel Rivals will have that short of a life. If the game is balanced, polished, has plenty of content and doesn’t go overboard with microtransactions, I can see it lasting a long while
@@ItsDezaYTIt probably will. The game is going to be made and run by a Chinese mobile game company. This is also their first of game. So it will probably be pretty shit. I don’t think anyone would actually care about this game if people didn’t call it the overwatch killer

i dont think it will close to overwatch 2 reasons why is
1-Netease(chinese/mobile company)
2-free to play
3-microtransactions(probably gonna have boost and p2w aspects)
4-only pc(with no console release or announcment) so players ar already gonne be way lower than overwatch 2
I mean with the controversy's aside I liked it the feels abit more of a overwatch clone so I hope they change the style of the game, personally I think peni and luna are abit unnecessary considering the lore and unfit to be like 1st roster, 2nd to 3rd roster maybe, but the more the better I guess
I think the game’s similarities to Overwatch will help sell it as long as it’s not copied completely. Peni in the game makes sense since the lore is about Multiversal Battles but she’s the only character *not* from Earth-616 so she is a little out of place. And Yh Luna Snow is a bit of a wildcard too
If the game does well, I’m looking forward to who they introduce next :)
I would love to see overwatch 2 fall... They lied to us about pve... Overwatch 2 IS just overwatch with cash grab.... I would love to see those pesky manager get what they deserve :)

I wish marvel rivals didn't dip their feet into the multiverse and not have the game be devoured with tons of clones from other universes. Marvel has enough characters
I see your point. But I think they’re only dipping into the Multiverse for the story, maps and cosmetics. Besides, every character currently in the game is from Earth-616 except for Peni Parker. So really, they aren’t delving into it too much
This game will literally not even have a chance to be alive, instant flop
I think we all need to try it before we come to conclusions. There’s an Alpha test in May so we’ll see what everyone thinks :)
This is not overwatch lol gunna fail if comparing it to overwatch like other games
I think it’s always important to compare new/small games to big IPs as that’s where the standard is
This game obviously isn’t Overwatch. If it was, it won’t succeed as it won’t have a unique identity. But if Marvel Rivals can emulate and learn from Overwatch’s mistakes, I’m sure it’ll do well!!
