How do you mark the scoresheet if a player 8 ball breaks on game 1, then on the next game, knocks the 8 ball in again but also scratches (knocking in the cue). I know the player would lose that game, but would they mark a 1 (inning), and a S8 (scratch on the 8) or S8 O B???
No, there would not be an inning, because only the lag winner's turn has ended. On paper, you only mark an inning after BOTH players' turns have ended. Since this is a semi-rare occurrence, it would be best to write something like "S on 8 on break" so your league operator understands.
