My height is 172 cm, Should I go for Medium or Large frame? My doubt is, should I have lean more forward, if I brought Large size or should i go for Medium size. As per polygon website they are suggesting Large size for 170-180cm riders

I am very new to biking and the only reason I liked Marin dsx-1 is because it looked fab and it was a gravel bike that could handle indian roads; please advise.

These are not low quality plastic ones, they offer good grip also typically most people change pedals to clipless ones

Your vid was what convinced me to get the Path 3. I was choosing between this and a Giant Escape 1... Seems Path 3 seems to be of better value
Hi. I'm from Malaysia. I am also considering between polygon path 3 and giant escape 1. Would you recommend me the polygon path 3 over the giant escape 1?
@@jayreuben4986 I'm no expert really. I chose the Path 3 in Singapore because of better value for money (it's cheaper by $100 Sgd, appears to have a better and more coordinated after sales support and has better parts like hydraulic disc brakes and better gear ratios.) Your mileage may vary that side of the Causeway.
@@jayreuben4986 my Path 3 came in today and I took it for a spin on bike paths.
The gear ratios means it negotiates medium incline slopes well, and the wide handlebars gives it excellent control.
That being said, it did feel a tad heavy but that's not a deal breaker at this point.
The brakes are GOOD. I've never felt so confident on slopes before and they saved my hide once during that short ride: drivers in Singapore don't respect zebra crossings... Managed to comfortably stop to avoid a speeding taxi.

@@jayreuben4986 I've had considerable mileage on it over the past 3 weeks.
Long distance paths, dirt roads, even trails...
So I think I can give a fairly objective review now.
1. Love the handling, corners well. Once I sorta raced a road bike.. While my top speed could not hope to match the roadie (or my lack of fitness haha) I found myself taking corners and actually catching up with the roadie at sharp bends and turns because of its balance. Cycling behind crowd of people and zipping in and around crowds is easy on this bike.
2. Accelerates well enough, but I'll maintain its a tad heavy. No deal breaker. Covering large swathes of distance on open roads is easy on this bike. Was riding with a friend who was riding another Polygon (his is a mountain bike I forget which model). I'm easily keeping pace with him on gear 7, without shifting all the way up to 9 with little to no effort. Could have easily overtaken him but chose not to.
3. Gear changes were smoothe and almost seamless in my experience
4. Cons: it'll handle off-road trails decently but it doesn't like it. (no suspension. I admit I was pushing it) it hates gravel paths.
5. On an off road relatively smooth dirt path with undulating terrain, it's gear ratios (and proper energy management) meant that I was able to quickly overtake other bikes, even on up slopes.
Overall I'm happy with it for my primary purpose which is as a commuter to work and for leisure. Not an off road bike. It can handle light dirt paths but it does not like rough trails.
