    I keep trying to program an Xhorse remote for a Toyota fob. It’s wired but I keep getting this error “ please put in x wire remote, xn wireless remote, or rx super chip remote. Any tips here?

      you might be using the wrong key, if it’s a toyota fob you shouldn’t be using the wired universal key it should be the smart universal key

    Nice video, but I'm wondering if with super remote (purple one) you need to generate correct transponder type after generating remote, or is it already done?

    Just starting out with xhorse i've been using autel to program dealer standard keys for about a year now, What is confusing me is where to find out which vehicle is compatible with which key. Is it a case of reading the original keu with my keytool max pro & matching up the key that way? or is there a list available anywhere?
    Great video! i've been doing research on the x horse smart key range & this was massively helpful.

      the best way is to visit UHS-Hardware.com, and search for the keys by vehicle type, year and more, that makes it far easier to tell what does what. also, feel free to call the customer service or sales dept. for more details before you buy.

      the key tool max can only generate XHORSE UNIVERAL REMOTES. however, it can program many keys, transponders, remotes, and smart keys. OEM and Third Party. it's also useful for flashing some vehicles and other useful extras!

    I am new to automotive locksmithing and trying to learn...
    would this process be used to clone a new fob key for someone that wants additional keys?
    What is the advantage to doing it this way vs just plugging into OBD2 and adding a new key/cloning a key.
    Thank you for any help you can provide!

    Saw this product while checking out drones. Question, how does the company prevent foulplay w/ this tool? Ive seen videos where people capture the signals while the victims sleep

    • @UHSHardware
      @UHSHardware  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      this tool is not made for that purpose. this is specialized purely for key generation and programming.
      No company can prevent foul play. This is why there is specific training, rules, and compliances Locksmiths and security professionals must adhere to and provide to keep customers and the general public safe. Only trained and certified individuals can purchase these items.

      @UHSHardware I personally use super for keys that have chips separate from the motherboard. Obviously , if the fob and key are in 2 separate pieces that call for super fob, too.
      For xhorse Wireless, I use when the chip is part of the motherboard on oem key, hence a car where fob and chip learn together.

    • @Mirauge
      @Mirauge ปีที่แล้ว

      so just to clarify you are not talking about the smart keys here at all right?
      you are specifically talking about when to use the purple package over the blue package?
      to me as the base knowledge of understanding is blue package comes with a tr47 chip that is not able to program to as many cars. It still doesn't make sense that you would use blue in the sense of chip separate.
      it seems to me the best choice would be to specifically go without chip at all. and buy super chips separate. Or to just buy the purple package super chip (wired) remotes.
      what's really confusing is that the super chip "wired" remote programs wirelessly... thats confusing.
      I get that the blue package is a couple dollars cheaper at times. but it doesn't seem worth the headache.
      I could see not nowing which smart key to have being frustrating. because for example autels generated keys do all models listed. with xhorse you gotta have the "special smart key" for some models.

    • @UHSHardware
      @UHSHardware  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      no, but it's also just as useful in a differing way. this would be more for programming and generating universal keys for older vehicles with transponder keys or flip keys, while the KM100 is more for Smart remotes and proximity systems. they are both wonderfully affordable and useful.

    • @UHSHardware
      @UHSHardware  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      different and useful for similar and different things. they are more or less both needed for full vehiicle coverage of smart and bladed keys,

      Wow! 😮
      I didn't get that impression from your advertising!
      Otherwise, I wouldn't have bought the Key Tool Max Pro!
      Looks like to get another machine when I thought what I bought was all I needed to clone and reprogram all Key FOB, Remotes and FOBIK.
      I saw some mentioned about "access card" but saw no further info about it.
      I'm heavy into Security Electronics and the first thing that came to mind when I read "access card" was a HID access card or badge!
      For example, when I place my access card for the office on the KTMP, it read as a transponder chip type 46 and PCF7943 (HITAG2+EE).
      It also has a password which editable and 8 other blank but editable fields P0-P7passwords!

    • @UHSHardware
      @UHSHardware  ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't include the Blue "wireless" remote as it's the same generation sequence as the Purple "Super Remote" except it has a T47 transponder, which is not as widely capable as the super remote. It is still highly useful, just not as wide of a vehicle coverage.
      Thanks for asking!

  • @V21IC

    After choosing the car make and model, what does "desired remote" refers to?
    Is it the target remote that you are generating?
    Or is the source remote that's already in use by the vehicle?
    If it's the latter, how would you know which "desired remote" to choose when there are multiple options?
    Sometimes amoung the options, some may have have transponders or may not have.
    Also, those with transponders may have differing transponder/chip ID!
    I suspect that we have to get the details of the current remote first - frequency, modulation, transponder ID, and buttons.
    Then we can choose a "desired remote".
    Can we generate/program a 4-button remote when the vehicle originally uses a 3-button or 5-button remote?

    How is it possible to GENERATE a new remote? most of the VVDI setup is all done without connecting an obd2 to the car, how can a car get the signal and open if the car has a rolling code or similar? otherwise would imply that it can open any car as long as is the same make and year?

    • @UHSHardware

      Generation is the first step for universal keys. Programming is the process of making the key work for the vehicle.

      In that case "generate" a remote may not be the best word to describe 'formatting' or 'preparing' or even 'creating' a remote.
      After the remote is prepared/created/formatted/loaded, it is programmed to the vehicle.
