    Yeah it's a great bike.
    I'm currently busy with my own project, I'm adding a second 48v 20 amp battery on the rack.
    Paralel connected, with a dual battery connector.
    So I will more than double my range. The only thing that can cause a problem is the regenerate power system.
    I always drive in sports 5 so I don't think it will be a problem. However I asked Engwe anyway.
    Never thought I would love riding bikes but I definitely found a new hobby.

    I don't know why people ask how fast it will go or will it go this fast. For those people just go out and buy a motorbike or moped if you want something fast. If your wanting to go fast on an ebike your asking for the police to stop you. Then they will change the laws and ban e bikes or restrict them even further, so dont be a fool and just stay within the guidelines of the speed.

    • @baconbuttties
      @baconbuttties  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes you are right that you should stick to what the Government has set out but I personally think it's a little low considering most people can peddle at 20 MPH or maybe even more.
      With the new 20 MPH speed limits coming up in a lot of places I think it would be safer if ebikes could match the flow of traffic.

    Love your handlebars but for me the non folding kills it. There are two other alternatives. In America the turtle neck folding stem is a very short folding stem that can take similar BMX bars. Not been able to find them in UK.
    An alternative solution to high bars and keeping the fold can cost nothing. Take the supplied bars off (removing all the controls etc first) revolve the bars down the the rise is a drop AND turn the bars left to right. That way you retain a slight backward sweep. Refit all the controls, handlebars grips are about 2inches (50mm) lower. Much nicer. Choose wider riser bars with just a slight back sweep to drop even lower.
    I have had an Engine X for a few weeks now, love it. But do drop those bars.

      I just got mine in and assembled it (correctly, I hope) - the folding is somewhat of a disappointment because it is still a large size and doesn't seem to be very lay friendly. Secondly, my bike got a few scratches in delivery and now I must figure out how to cover them up. I will feel better once I start riding it but I'm having some buyers remorse at the moment

    Hi really enjoying these posts. I'm a bit late to the party, just got two of these for Wifey & me. I may go down this route later. I'm definitely fitting the 203 brake discs. I'd like to know if you have modified the rear mudguard mount as it looks like it restricts the suspension pivots. I've seen a clip were the suspension pivots bind preventing full suspension. Cheers

    • @baconbuttties

      I didn't modify the rear mudguard but would add that the rear shock is quite a firm shock also.

      @andyellis5490 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers for that. I've just found TH-cam post from a "MotoCheez" March 2023 which shows the suspension pivots are touch short. I'll have a bit of a play first with the bike before looking deeper. Cheers

    I've been riding this bike for about a month th-cam.com/users/postUgkxwC0IIeIomGQVeBWg-kKJaToZkLEFIA2W and a half now and I think it's fantastic. It helps me get to work on time every day since I'm able to fit it inside of public transportation rush hour. The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. I do recommend you carry some sort of wrench to tighten any loose screws on the handle bar and seat whenever they get a little bit loose. Other than that I think it's a fantastic bike. Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.
