@@amandakosij only bearings. Never changed block or rotating assembly. TBRE in Toowoomba screwed together the original 4.0 litre for it and Forced Performance done the rest.

@@Iswhatitisssss barra engines are very very very good for this sort of thing. They don't have a whole lot going on in the engine bay in terms of wiring and cables etc. Electronic throttle body all that lovely stuff.
So question why not go to the 4.2 stroker kit for better power, I don't understand the benefits of destroking the entire. The only reason for reducing the stroke for higher compression is for towing trailers, I don't see this car towing any trailers anytime soon. Can someone explain it to me because I'm truly confused
@@MotiveVideo are you sure because with the 3.7 kit he has the piston is traveling further from top dead center and has a greater distance to get back. The 4.2 is closer to top dead center and requires less travel time increasing rpm. Unless I am thinking wrong or I'm getting my kits swapped. I'm still incredibly confused, still incredible build and love the green color especially on the cover

I am no expert but I find this so incredibly interesting and so fascinating I got to research and watch more. I’m used to throwing cubic displacement at stuff here but wow. I’ll let myself out lol
If you haven’t dealt with an under square engine you would be very unfamiliar with why one would de stroke. The Barra is the only engine I know of that has a piston stroke larger than its bores. (3.6 to 3.9) where an RB26 is over square (3.39 to 2.9) allowing for higher revs even when stroking up to 2.8

Well most of us know dyno can be manipulated, what mph does it run down then quarter plus what weight is it to get a true reading of how much power it makes. 1800hp seems like BS to me, the gts has apparently 800 less yet seem to perform a lot closer to what is claimed. Dyno people usually have nothing close to what the car can do and that is a known fact that mph doesn’t lie. Just like how everyone reckon hsv over estimates the 430kw yet when run down the quarter with the weight of the car it is very close to between 427kw-433kw. Yet some idiot puts it on the dyno and reckons it only makes 300+ kw
Empire have the same/similar engine combo in their 'kingfgx' FGX sedan and it runs a 7.2 @192. I don't know how heavy it is, but you can't make an fgx light so it has to be 1600+ kgs.
@@scootbmx01 claimed 12.2 for the 1/4 mile, weight 1825 kg, trap speed 118mph/189km/h = 516hp/384kw at the wheels, about 10% power loss through drive train would make it close to 565hp/422kw at the fly wheel. Again mph doesn’t lie. My 12.2 time and trap speed is what is claimed by hsv, I believe they can do high 11’s stock which would bring it closer to 430kw flywheel . Hope this helps explain things.
