This looks awesome I've got one of the Books of John Allen. The famous Model Railroader. I really like this the detail and everything if I ever get another computer I'm hoping maybe I can get this game and actually play this train layout it looks awesome
The Great Divide Line rebuild project endorses & highly recommends John Allen fans to get this game and enjoy the work they have done to give everyone a fairly accurate idea of what it might be like to ride the rails of the G&D RR. Eventually the modeling here will also be ready to come see. I think John would be amazed at his continued fame and his many fans, even more than 50 years after his passing..... Nice Job everyone... Hats off. th-cam.com/video/JgQJV7eu4o0/w-d-xo.html
One of the map creators here, I can say that while the layout *is* better optimized than our previous stuff, with only 8gb of ram you'll probably still run into trouble. But most lower tier PCs should still be able to run it, albeit at a lower framerate.
I know, it's such a contrast with the really cool stuff I'm seeing on screen. I'm having a hard time getting past the deep uncanny feeling that a computer is masquerading as a musician.
I would love it! Used AI so we could turn this trailer out quick, don't have the right friends/resources to do it for real but if someone does, hit me up and I'd re-do it gladly
@@ElectricTrumpet Honestly, the music itself wasn't too bad, it was mainly the AI voice. Though there are two spots that I'd have suggestions for. The main one I've got figured out is at 1:15. To better help with the flow of the song, I have two lines I think would fit perfectly in it. After "Ain't nothing quite like an old steam engine," I was thinking the lines could go: "Those old iron horses riding the rails, _all_ chock full with plenty of tales. (What's happens to diesels?) _I'd rather not mentiooon!"_
@@ElectricTrumpet Also, heck yeah! Like I said, the music itself was actually pretty good(for being AI generated), it would just need some tweaks. *_And then obviously the entirety of the vocals would have to be redone._* I'd be more than happy to lend my voice if it's "up to snuff".
First someone is actually recreating this Layout from scratch in real life, now we have this lad recreating it in Rolling Line
Did you see that they (the person recreating the GD Lines) have the ORIGINAL Emma? She was found, partially melted, but she's still recognizable!
This is definitely the rolling line video of all time
Never ask a woman her age
A man his salary
or the singer what happened at the Westward-HO hotel
I wish there were a game that played like Rolling Line but was a tycoon. I need profit-based motivation and objectives.
Me and a friend were talking about the G&D not too long ago. This makes me happy and I think it'll make him happy too.
You have no idea how much this excites me
I'm Gorreing my Dapethid so hard rn
Real quality trailer and layout! You (and the rest of the team) did good! 👍
Great job, it looks fantastic!
Not bad for an AI genearted song, and damn fine work on the layout!
0:38 THATS NOT A BANJO, THATS A MANDOLIN. Day officially RUINED.
Ahhhhhh, you're right! I should have caught that. Trailer ruined. 😢
0:40 wait, you even made one of his custom locomotives in-game (#34)!?
yeah there's a lot of stuff, this trailer doesn't even show all of it. #56 and Sergent Ennis are going to be part of it too.

According to a message posted on Discord, the map is actually fairly well optimised compared to some of the Beer Line team's previous layouts.
