this video I will be showing you how I did my thicker sized Passion Twists over my 4b/4c textured hair. I used about 9 packs of Freetress Water Wave, and this took me about 7 hours (I take all day to do my own hair so the time may vary).

Hey everyone if anyone is confused listen twist your hair like doing spring twist if you are doing invisible twist at the root you have to twist like you doing Senegalese Twist then go into just twisting if your twist does not look like Passion Twist try twisting the opposite direction. Hope this helps.
Once again thanks Bohobabe for sharing Passion Twist Technique I really appreciate it.

So I did this method! I used the recommended hair and only 6 bags of hair. I did split the hair for some to give some variation and I also cut the hair shorter ( taper the ends if you do).I did have trouble with some unraveling so I did the twist method like you would with other twist styles .

How when Jamaica created it 😂? I’m not hating, just paying respects where due. This has been done before she was born, I literally have a photo of my aunt with the exact style back in the early 90s, Fretress has been around for a very long time.

    • @TheLocHustlerr
      @TheLocHustlerr 5 ปีที่แล้ว +18

kyle Yeah, well I’m sure your Aunt didn’t trademark it soooo🤷🏽‍♀️
That’s always the problem with you “we been doing this forever” guys, I’m sure you weren’t doing it like THIS and if you were-no one will ever know, because we’re smart enough to trademark it and actually make money from the technique.
Freetress HAS been around for a long time, but people haven’t been using it to do twists. Spring Twist Hair has also been around for a very long time, and that’s the style that’s been circulating since the early 90’s, not these! 🙄

thank you boho babe! i love the turorial. I just took my first set of attempted passion twist out last night. I used the rubber band method which worried me a bit but I seemed to loose very little hair because I oiled the sections up with avacado oil and bands slipped right off. I havent masterecd feeding hair in. I have 4b/c and its shorter, past earlobes in back shorter up top and its very fine. I noticed the twist felt very heavy. I went down to using one strand instead of two like some tutorials and that helped alot. Also I feel the hair pulls alot on my crown and here my hair is very fragile and thin. because of the texture I only kept them in 2 weeks which is fine with me because my scalp was getting irritated from something I had used.....ItsAND last but not least my hair peps right through because so short I used exteme gel, pink edge control, twisting cream and murrays and some of my strands never blend. hun its a constant struggle but I really like this style and looking for tips from type 4 with soft fine strands. thanks!

Question: when twisting down, do you have to twist the individual sections before crossing them over each other like in a regular Senegalese twist or do you just cross one side over the other without twisting the individual sections first? Any help will be most appreciated. Thanks and keep up the good work.

I did that recently with some Goddess faux locs using the JazzNicoleMethod/V part tutorial , and it came out pretty... hmm. That way I can reuse the hair cause that hair is expensive for twists lol

Would you be able to do the same style with a more textured hair extension and get the same look? Like the hair they use for Marley and/or Havana twists? Or is the key that the hair wavy?

I wonder how long before these start sliding out, I have to braid my roots when i get twists otherwise they start sliding out in the back

Brittany Smith my friend’s did the same less than a week she paid for hers. I did mine and braided it and no slippage.

If you install correctly they shouldn't slide at all unless you have a really fine silky texture. I haven't attempted this particular look yet, but with other twists styles I only use the twist in method because it just looks better, more natural, like it's growing right out of your scalp. Even as the styles age, I feel like they just get better. I usually keep mine in until I have significant new growth approximately 6 weeks or more with other styles. Just as long as they don't start pulling on my hair/ hanging. Definitely excited to try this style. But if you feel more confident with a braided start, by all means do what works. You can't really be your most authentic beautiful self if you're not confident you won't be leaving a trail of twists behind in your wake! 😂😂😂

@@jandrews3913 yeah my hair is really thick and does fine with twists in the middle but I have someone else's soft loose curl pattern around my perimeter lol so it's hard to get twists from sliding out. I've even gone to the African braiding salons and no matter how tight they still slide out without braiding the roots smh 🤦🏾‍♀️

Can this be done on short natural hair? Love this style.

I’ve tried with jus one twist and it looks to “springy.” It doest lay down like a twist. The twist itself curls up. What am I doing wrong?

Does the natural hair underneath the twist have to be blown out/straightened before twisting? Does it effect the final product? I try to always avoid heat on my hair, but I want to do a protective style similar to this. I have very thick 3c/4a type hair.

I love them!!! Two questions: Do these tend to unravel and would it be okay to dip them afterwards like usual? (With boiling hot water)
