    Great! your channel hits the balance between technical and friendly. Most channels Ive seen are either to technical ( boring ) or to basic. These are just right. Keep it up!

    I like these focus lessons on single words or expressions. Spasiba! In English the correct expression is "would you be so kind AS to...?" There should be the word "as" after kind..Don't worry Anastasia, about 30% of native speakers get that wrong too! Every language is tricky.

    Hello everyone!
    Всем привет!
    Vsyem privet!
    Welcome to “Learn Russian Now “ with me Anastasia. And in today’s lesson we are going to learn 5 different ways to make polite requests in Russian language. You already know how to say “Please” in Russian language.
    -Please/You are welcome.
    Пожалуйста
    Pazhalusta

    “Пожалуйста “ is a great word and you can use it in any situation.
    If you want to make a request you can use this word and you will sound polite.
    But in today’s lesson I will teach you more 5 ways to make requests.
    1.
    Be kind
    [imperative verb form]
    Будь дoбр
    [bud' dobr]
    For example:
    Would you be so kind to close the door?
    Будь дoбр, закрой дверь?
    Bud' dobr, zakroy dver'?
    2.
    Lit: Would you be kind to do something for me/us?
    [plural /formal polite singular]
    Будьтe дoбры
    [buti(ye) dabry]
    This expression is used with the personal pronoun:

    Вы[Vy]= You {singular formal/ plural} when addressing politely a person [you don’t know well]or a group of people.

    We use Будьтe дoбры + nouns in Accusative case when we ask for something, place orders and make requests.
    For example, in a restaurant or a café you can ask:
    I would like a coffee and muffin please!
    Будьтe дoбры, кофе и маффин!
    Bud'te dobry, kofe i maffin!

    When we buy something and we want to address the seller we also use:
    Будьтe дoбры [buti(e) dabry]= would you be so kind
    For example:
    -I want to buy two tickets please!
    Будьтe дoбры, два билета.
    Bud'te dobry, dva bileta.

    On the air plane you can ask the flight attendant:
    -I would like to have still water please.
    Будьтe дoбры, воду без газа.
    Bud'te dobry, vodu bez gaza.

    Водa[Vada]= water {nominative case}
    Воду[Vodu]= water {accusative case}

    Remember that we use Будьтe дoбры + nouns in Accusative case when we ask for something, place orders and make requests.
    2.
    Lit: Be a friend.
    Meaning: By my friend[and do something for me]
    Будь другoм
    [bud' drugam]
    For example:
    -Do me a favour and buy me coffee on the way.
    Будь другoм и купи мне кофе по дороге.
    Bud' drugam i kupi mne kofe pa darage.
    3.
    Be kind, be nice[ formal and polite]
    Будь любезен [Bud' lyubezen]{masc- sing.}
    Будь любезна [Bud' lyubezna] {feminine- sing.}
    Будьте любезны [Bud'te lyubezny] {Plural}
    For example:
    -Be so kind and don’t interrupt, please!
    Будьте любезны, не перебивать!
    Bud'te lyubezny, ne perebivat'!

    Dear Nastya, I like the way you teach. You really show a great talent in your presentation. My question, do you have videos about Russian grammar? My second question, do you have videos in which you use Russian only?
    I wish you success in your job and your life!

    Здравствуйте, Anastasia! In the third request (Будьте добры) the letter ‘д’ is silent? Мы не произносим букву “д”? Спасибо.

    4.
    I am asking you/I’m begging you.
    [Я] Прошу тебя. [informal sing]
    [YA] Prashu tibya.
    [Я ] Прошу вас.[plural/formal sing]
    [YA] Prashu vas.
    For example:
    -I am begging you, please don’t go!
    Прошу тебя, не уходи!
    Prashu tibya, ni ukhadi!
    -Help me please!
    Прошу вас, помогите!
    Prashu vas, pamagitye!

    We also use Прошу вас.[Prashu vas] as a formal way to invite someone to do something.
    &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

    Formal invitation to enter the room, start a conversation, dinner
    and so on.
    &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
    For example:
    -Please, come in!
    Прошу вас, проходите!
    Prashu vas, prakhaditye!
    5.
    Do me a favour[formal]
    {imperative verb form}
    Сделай одолжение! [singular]
    Sdelay adalzheniye!
    Сделайте одолжение![plural-addressing a group of people]
    Sdelaytye adalzheniye!
    For example:
    Do me a favour, give me the documents.
    Сделай одолжение, отдай мне документы.
    Sdelay adalzheniye, atday mne dakumenty.
    -Do me a favor, call me in the morning.
    Сделайте одолжение, позвоните мне утром.
    Sdelayte adalzheniye, pazvanite mne utram.

    Уважаемая Анастасия, сделайте одолжение и снимайте видео о грамматике русского языка только на русском языке.
