Seeds to start early: Peppers and Eggplant

Welcome to HOME RIGHT. There are some seeds that we like to start early because they have a long growing season. We are starting our peppers and eggplant indoors under grow lights in January to give the plants a good head start. Ideally, you want to start pepper seeds indoors at least 8 weeks before your last expected frost. Our last frost date is April 8th, and we are starting about 11 weeks prior to the last frost date, because our grow lights are good but they are not super strong (they are standard shop lights), so we are starting a little bit early so the plants will be good and strong by the last frost date.

Giant Marconi pepper
Lunchbox pepper
Grand bell mix pepper
Keystone pepper
Black beauty eggplant
Purple long eggplant
