His pass blocking is ABYSMAL and if he’s in there more you’ll see he’s not able to grind out the tough yardage. He’s fast and explosive and should be used exactly how he is now to catch the defense off guard for a big gain.

What we WANT to see is our favorite team's superstar wide receiver, who was drafted at 5th overall in the draft, to get more than 4 targets. And it's always the same "take what the defense gives us" nonsense from the coach. The great offensive minds don't scheme their offenses that way. CeeDee gets 10-12 targets a game. JJ does too. Moss did a great job, in my opinion. He consistently turned what looked to be 1 yard loss plays into 1-2 yard gains. It might not seem like much, but you’re looking at a 3 yard differential. He has also been good in pass protection. It’s my guess that Brown sees the field less because they don’t trust his pass protection as much. I’d like to see more CB runs because of his explosive speed, but I understand if Moss offers a more dependable presence in the backfield.

Every year, all I hear is let's not change anything to help the run game but expect RB to pass block and just create explosive plays on their own. Just have 6 OL out there every snap if that's what it takes to have better pass blocking and run blocking. Feels like the run game will never improve with Burrow stuck in shotgun all the time which also makes it harder on the OL and therefore the passing game.
Burton not playing more than Irwin (And I like Irwin) is a schematic atrocity . Chase Brown gets the ball and flies , Battle is young and athletic. We’re all asking these questions . I do think Taylor mismanages the roster sometimes. Also I feel like we need to get more creative on offense, I watch these other games and I see some of the best offenses doing a shit ton of motioning . You can’t get creative with Burrow , he processes well. Take advantage of it.

Henry was on the active roster, which has 53 player limit. They cut him to make room for guy since they need a DT more than depth DE right now. They released Shedrick Jackson from the practice squad in order to make room for Henry, since the PS also has a player limit.
I don't believe there was open competition in camp for that safety position. Ja'Maar "holding in" meant that other WRs took snaps there instead of at the #2. If there was an open WR competition it was the slot. Now, after Higgins injury they are trying to figure out who the #2 is. Joe, who was on a snap count in camp, is trying to get used to multiple receivers in Tee's spot and in the slot while shaking off rust.
Why Battle hasn't played is a mystery to me. PFF had him rated as our best DB last year. How is Anthony out there for that 4th & 14 last week instead of him? Probably costed us the game.

Jordan Battle lost his job and 1 complete year of his football life when Lou called Vonn Bell as soon as he was released from the Panthers. That was no competition for the starting job. You say the LB's are playing better with Vonn Bell but they haven't. They stunk against New England, improved in KC. How Logan Wilson got a high PFF grade against the Patriots but they must've graded him high on tackles after 8 to 10 yards were gained against us. Chase Brown, he's simply faster than Moss, hit's the gap faster and we know he catches the ball great so it comes down to blocking where Moss wins and blocking for a QB who lets the defense dictate where he throws the ball. Jermaine Burton with Tee injured or if Ja'Marr gets injured should be on the field. There is no doubt Burton is at least the 3rd most talented receiver but Yoshi is the best 3rd receiver having the year experience and a strong off season workout getting him ready for the year. Irwin is no better than a 6th receiver and a back up punt returner who's simply over-valued during the first 2 games. Charlie Jones, I'm not sure the Bengals trust Jones body frame to play more on offense and think of him as a return specialist mainly. If that is the case Jones should be the 6th receiver/punt returner while Kendric Pryor or Cole Burgess should've made the team over Irwin as a 5th receiver who could've helped the first 2 games.

In our 2 regular season losses he got targeted twice and had the biggest play by a wr so far.
