Sorry for lack of uploads lately, between the Darktide Private Playtest, IRL work stress, and tearing apart my old AM4 5900x system to install the god tier cpu that is the 9800x3d with custom water cooling, I've finally managed to squeeze a few rounds in. As I predicted, my max fps in Darktide didn't really improve too much with the 9800x3d but my 1% and 0.1% lows went from 80-90 with completely maxed out settings to *140* FPS. This setup isn't anything too fancy, it's designed to mindlessly run in with the oft underestimated shovels and whack the heretics. The shovel is paired with the Laspistol and Krak grenades to deal with ranged annoyances and Monsters as needed with Deadshot, Reciprocity, and Duck'n'Dive to help ensure a high effective crit rate on the Laspistol for ammo sustain through Shocktrooper
cant wait for this game to come out on ps5! watching your videos is a good way to get an idea of what to do and how to deal with certain enemies when shit hits the fan
Your game looks so good it's insane, I literally have to mod my game to ultra potato to make it runnable so seeing this quality is like I'm watching a different game lol
I keep looking at the las pistols mastery skin and I seriously wish all the others looked that good. Would have been cool of fatshark to lean way more into the checker patterns then the gold.
It’s just like a regular shove. I only commented at the time because it slipped my mind since it’s such an incredibly niche weapon special that has almost zero practical use compared to just swapping to melee to push. There is a variation if you use it on Psyker since it gives the same push as a force sword push but even then it’s not that great.
Two questions here about the Mutant Vamp. The grab attack depends of the position you are? If into his left side, he will uses his left arm, in the right side, his right arm. Or He just follow a pattern of attacks, by using only the same arm? And about the ChainSword, when him try to grab You, with the parry/block, He will flinch of take damage, by touching the serrated blades of the weapon?
For first question, the mutant has 2 attack patterns and it only depends on where the mutant ends its dash at when it grabs you. If it stops at a wall it doesn’t slam you and just throws you in a direction. If it does not stop by a wall or ledge then it slams you for some damage then throws you. For the second question, chain weapons do not stun the mutant. The only weapon that I use that consistently stops a mutant is the Mk1 shovel as seen in this run. Its weapon special can stun a mutant in its track if it lands on its head.

What’s crazy is that I can feel even less input lag than before going from 80-90 as my minimum fps to 140 as my new minimum.

Shovel attacks fast enough already and I couldn't stretch to it unless I was willing to swap off the Laspistol and drop Reciprocity/Duck'N'Dive
