Congratulations! I legit want to be where u are now working for ServiceNow. Any advice on how i can make this happen starting now to set myself up for it going into next year?
@@ILLWill1027 Yes, so I currently don't work for ServiceNow; I just have the cert. But the best advice I can give to you is to figure out what path you want to take, research the job description and requirements for that position, get the job certifications that are mandatory for that position, and use the cert and skills that you learned to break into tech.
I adore Asia. She’s so smart and giving. She’s the reason I made my transition from healthcare to tech. I’m currently looking to transition into a SNOW role. She is really so bomb.
I have to agree. I started following her on Twitter when the pandemic started and she was soooo sweet and never shy away from answering question. I love to see her living her best life!
Symone, imposter syndrome is more real and more dynamic than I ever realized. I know it hurts when people question your integrity especially from a place of true authenticity, but those of us not questioning you...are LISTENING IN SUPPORT OF YOU!!😎
I’ll never forget years ago DM’ing Asia and asking her what I should learn/focus on to get into tech and she mentioned ServiceNow. Fast forward to today I’ve crossed the sixfig threshold working at SN. Love all of the free game y’all give out and this industry!! 💚
One of the biggest takeaways for me is that you must become that role after earning a certificate. I recently earned my CSM and now I’m molding my mindset into scrum/agile.
Knowledgehut and the instructor name is Raj Kasturi but now I'm in another group called Scrumdog Billionaires which I think may be better.@@siethomas4046
"I'd rather be hard at 500,000 than 50,000". Now, this is a word! I'm a nurse now, and I have flirted with the notion of going into tech. I am going to go for it!! I've binged watched so many of your videos. Thank you so much for these videos!! ❤❤❤
I love that she doesn't have her degree and has advanced so far in her career. I don't have mine either, and I think up until now, I've been doubting that anyone else would hire me for tech roles outside of my current focus and I kept viewing the fact that I even landed my current job as “luck.” But honestly, that was definitely a combination of God, my soft skills, confidence, and determination that got me this far. I love her spirit and will definitely be taking a page out of her book.
We love servicenow ! Her and Teneika are the reason why I actually indulged in the company , from winning their knowledge sweepstakes to interning for them in summer 2024 as a upcoming junior in university. I thank them both for, my dream is getting interviewed by Symone!
So happy to see the two people that contributed to my career growth and complete mindshift when it comes to money & my career together doing this interview. I still don’t remember how I found either of your twitter pages back in 2019 but I’m so glad I did!
Truly excited about this interview AP was the first woman that made me look at Tech and the possibilities. So inspiring! AP shares so much information on Twitter as well.. amazing woman! Thanks Beez for this one and your platform!
Thank you so much for this interview, I've been studying and had stopped, because my mom passed away. I was working so hard to finish, before she left this earth 🌎, but now I see there are more people that I can help and influence on this journey. 🌹
THIS INTERVIEW WAS DOPE 🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!! Her confidence and determination definitely stood out but her humbleness and authenticity took the cake. You was real and not ashamed to speak the truth, definitely the tech baddies I be telling my guys in and out of tech about. You cracked the code by pivoting in to the space and never got comfortable you just kept excelling, multiple your time and money to do for yourself, your mom and others. And the fact you recognize God in the midst of all of this 🥵 so much people in the world just give themselves the praise but your acknowledgment of God was also huge!!! I truly appreciated this interview to help some of my other lady friends to get in this space as well! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK 🙏🏾
Her mindset is everything. It really is all about how you perceive things. If you only focus on the negative and how hard it is, you can only go so far. Everything is hard. I'll take 500k hard over 50k hard any day
What a great video! Symoné, please never stop making these videos. I just started taking my certificate in Cybersecurity, which is something I ALWAYS wanted to do. ❤ Wish I could afford the package you’re selling maybe one day. Much love
@kli9005 if you keep your ears on the ground, Servicenow usually opens it up for free certification voucher. That's what I used. It's usually random so I can't tell you when it's usually open
Focuse on your message. As long as you are sharing from the heart, it doesn't matter if you are getting flack from those who are negative. Your message may not be for everyone. Keep doing it; there is always someone that is listening that needs to hear it.
Great interview. I'm currently studying for the CompTia Linux+ or RHcSA certification. I'm going for the Linux System Admin job to Cloud Engineer, to DevOps.
Hey Beez this was a great episode. The audio was off a bit. I watch using headphones and your mic was in one earphone and The Princess mic was in the other. It was really only a problem because I'm at work listening so I keep one earphone off in case someone call my name. lol But once again great episode again and I love DMV representation on here. Really inspiring fr.
I love this interview so much! I learned about ITIL from AP and ServiceNow from Beez! Thank y’all so much! Definitely keeping me encouraged on my journey 💛
I wish the interview covered her journey more on the different job titles she had until becoming SME. For some of us outside tech, just abit confusing - wondering if SME is related to systems admin
SME means subject matter expert. Asia has the ServiceNow Admin cert along with a few others. She is a SME in ServiceNow with her years of excellent working within the software and her certs.
Loved this interview!! Been waiting for this one and AP has such great energy ♥️💕 keep sharing and keep pouring into others! It looks good on both of you and God will continue to bless you I just started my software engineering journey and I’m in a bootcamp, I follow both of yall on social media and everything you share from the information to the plugs to the lifestyle is keeping me motivated and I thank you both for the positive influence ❤
Another banger Symone. Great interview. I know about the ServiceNow play also. Great to hear the little sis has enjoyed so much success early in here career. Really inspiring
Love to see it! Really enjoyed learning about her background, transition, and goals. Continue being the awesome and (lit) light person you are Asia! It’s inspiring.
Hey Symone, thank you for the great and informative videos. I'm looking to move to North Virginia soon and studying for my comptia A+ exam. I heard you mentioned on a live that there are a few companies in the area who often hire entry level tech professionals. I know Lockheed was one of them, when given an opportunity can you share the other companies you mentioned ? Greatly appreciated 🙏
I absolutely love this interview. This has given me so much insight into different types of certifications and pathways into the IT career. A year ago I found Servicenow, I looked over the certification training but didn't move forward, fast-forward today I watched this video and now I'm more determine then ever to start training with Servicenow. Thanks for putting out these types of videos
She’s the goat! She introduced me to ServiceNow months ago, and I just became a certified CSA!!
Congratulations! I legit want to be where u are now working for ServiceNow. Any advice on how i can make this happen starting now to set myself up for it going into next year?
Are you coming from a non-Tech background? or you had experience already?

How many years ago and what's Asia's name on TH-cam please?
One of the biggest takeaways for me is that you must become that role after earning a certificate. I recently earned my CSM and now I’m molding my mindset into scrum/agile.
I am looking into doing this as well. Which course did you take?
Yes and continue to practice and get more certs I love snow

Very good interview!!! Thank you both for being a huge influence and resource to the Tech Community! Black Women in Tech, I loveeeee to see it.

yes it helped me tremendously, those ITSM jobs was the reason why I am where I am today!!! Love me some AP!!!
I got my CSA just on the fly but after hearing her story think I’m going to push further into SeviceNow development
How did you get it on the fly? When I looked, it was very expensive

Thank you Symone for continuing to showcase Black Excellence in Tech.
She’s absolutely killing it! Thank Beez for the great content.
Interviewed my cousin Kyle recently. Currently on my path to getting into Tech & and your videos have been very inspirational and informative. Thanks!
AP THE GOAT! ❤
That’s one thing I like about working with mathematics, it don’t change in the ways other industries change.
Im in the ServiceNow externship now, preparing for the CSA.
Symoné can you do video on securing some of the short-term/micro contracts that you all spoke on during this interview?
Thank you Symone for talking about Tech again. I know our people can be difficult when it comes to change
Great one! Still on the path, just got my CSM.

Another great interview question what boot camp is recommended for ITIL? Thanks
Great interview!
love what you are doing
Wow, she getting to the bag! I know she had to making some extreme rates, she has damn near a million dollars in designer clothes/etc.
Need a UK version of this!
I'd like to know did she went through all levels of ITIL or did she stop at foundations, and on to Scrum?
Thank you!
This is definitely informative
she’s seems so sweet
I looooove Asia so much.
Is ServiceNow like AWS? E.g you're not getting a job with just certs and no job experieince unless someone cosigns you?
How do effective communication with getting your points across. I struggle with that since English isn’t my first language
I’m ServiceNow developer
How is your experience? You making bank as well?
Love this ❤
