There is a better way to plug the drain holes in the pot.Auto parts sell what is called expansion plugs of different sizes,it’s used to plug the hole in engine blocks. It has a nut that you tighten and expand the plug after it’s inserted in the hole, therefore sealing the hole.it’s made of rubber.Good thing is it can be taken off to drain the pot for repairs or what have you.I have it on my water garden pot.
So glad to see you both are fans of fountains as I enjoy my solar fountain in a birdbath on my patio on sunny days! What is the name of solution to help with alge you used?
Hi Vicki! Happy to share, here is the link: www.mykindredliving.com/products/infinite-firebowl?hsLang=en This firebowl needs a natural gas hook up. The price noted is full retail, so you should be able to find it for less. Hope this was helpful! Thanks for watching the video!:)
We used one solar powered and one rechargeable fountain. The rechargeable fountain held a charge for several days and had a light feature which was nice for the evening. We loved both!
On the pot outfitted with the solar pump, doesn’t the pot basically become a mosquito magnet anytime there isn’t enough sun to keep the fountain running?
Thanks for this question! Where we live, mosquitoes are not a big issue. For people with mosquito issues, we would suggest a two pot fountain with plants that repel mosquitoes around the the center pot filled with water. There are several floral and fragrant options, which make beautiful outside decor. We will make a video on this soon, so please come back or subscribe and turn on your video notification bell.
Hi guys the white pot you should put a solar light in there that would look really pretty I'm getting from dollar store they have butterflies in them now and why would you use all that stuff in the bottom why you can't you just put some Cement I have 2 of those blue pots once bigger than the other so I am gonna fill the bigger one with some rocks place the smaller 1 on top then my fountain I wonder how it's gonna look I hope it turns out great but let me know about this meant can you not use the cement to close the holes
Hi Dorothy, thanks you for your questions and comments. The white planter does have led lighting included with the water pump kit. It is also remote controlled which makes it very easy to operate. We chose to use a combo of plastic and rocks as filler. All rocks and or cement would be heavy to move around. We use plastic bottles as planter fill material which is a great way to recycle weight plastic. You can certainly use cement to plug the holes. We chose to use water proof foam spray because it's easier to remove if we ever wanted to have the hole back. Best of luck with you planter and share pictures we would love to see it!
I found a new (to me) waterproof tape made by “Gorilla”. I used no foam, just taped over the hole inside & out. It’s been 4 mos & still holding. The pot is plastic.
Thanks for asking! Although plants have come and gone, mainly due to seasonal exposure, the fountains are still going strong. We are in PNW, so we do put these away over the winter months, so they have had two winters stored away for 4 months each.
Hi! Most of the pond plants are listed in the description section of the video. You can purchase through the links or visit a local nursery for assistance. If they don't carry, they can direct you or special order. If you have a local pond store, that could be a good place to start.
The clay interior with glazed exterior will help the pot retain water. The exterior is also fired, which makes the pot more resistant to cracking. Pots with glazed interiors and exteriors will not breathe, so if you are adding plants to your fountain pot, we suggest an unglazed interior.
Sorry about that! We will post some close up pictures in our community section soon - we are just now setting this up - or, feel free to email us and we will send you some pictures.
Great tip to buy a darker color pot when the solar fountain is exposed! Your examples were great inspiration.
Oh thank you! Thanks for watching!

Love it! Thanks for showing the second option.
You are so welcome! Thank you for your feedback and support!
Water lilies are better for still water. They don’t like water falling continuously or movement
Oh wow, that's good to know! Thank you for sharing! Fortunately it didn't seem to phase the ones we used.
You can also use a solar fountain if you don't have an outdoor outlet

@@spiritualsaggi6297 Yes it is :). Thank you!!
@@emileeandloraso for the rechargeable one do you have to take everything apart every couple days?
Also with the rocks in there, how do you clean them and how often do you have to do that?

How do you recharge?
It comes with a plug in charger. Remove from water and charge outside or inside. It keeps a charge for a long time, approx. 100hrs.
So it's been a minute since this video. How did the fountains hold up in the long run?

How much do those plugs cost
The spray foam comes many different sizes and is quite affordable. See link in description.

@@emileeandlora thank you that is very helpful and cute water fountains!!!!
It appears your largest pot in the first fountain is unglazed on the inside. Won’t it absorb water?
