I'm shocked that DGR didn't notice the timer was actually super high every time the low timer noise played. The noise was actually playing because that's the sound that plays when you get a checkpoint in Diagonal Mario World.

Back in Super Mario World (this game uses that engine), the location that doors and pipes led to was determined by what the screen number screen it was in, as I learned from Lunar Magic. This meant that a group of doors clustered together would lead to the same place. Keeping this in mind, although it isn't always clear what screen is which; there are a set number of tiles in a screen. Sadly, I don't know what how many tiles are in a screen, which means that I would be useless in aiding you in that regard.
