    Awsome video, thankyou. Is there any chance you would do a throttle and clutch lube video?

    What is that thing at your throttle ? Easier to use ? To push the throttle with you hand down on longer turns ?

    What happen if you get small stone or something else in the intake throttle body?
    I didn't had a rag to put over the nozzles so I just stuff soft toilet paper in the intake wholes and when air pressure the dirty side I'm not sure if some stone went down there anyway since it was not 100 procent sealed. In very afraid of something when down the engine.

    Gonna change my airfilter soon by a K&N anyway this winter. Nice to see how todo it ;)
    Question ?
    Is there a performance difference, a quicker acceleration maybe and what about the intake sound ?

    • @Wrenchie
      @Wrenchie  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jan. I don't perceive any performance improvement with the K&N vs OEM. K&N does claim better airflow meaning more airflow which should theoretically mean more performance... but I can't tell. As for the sound? She still howls like a wild banshee!! :)

      Did you get to changing the air filter? If so, how did it go?

    • @janvelter3253

      @@Wrenchie The filter is, as we speak, ordered and on it's way so I haven't got the oppurtunity to change it Wrenchie.
      I'll keep you informed but one thing is for sure .... gonna watch your video once again to see how you did it ;)

    do you have a video how to install a spools for paddock stand???

    • @Wrenchie
      @Wrenchie  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't.... It's super easy. Screw them in. HOWEVER!! Do not make my mistake and get spools that are too long where the exhaust will hit them. I snapped off a rear spool mount.

    Hey wrenchie. I have a quick question. Will it be a problem if my gas tank is full when i prop it up? Or should it be empty. Im getting ready to store bike for winter with a full tank but may want to do some of these maintenance over the winter. What do you think. I guess i can always drain the fuel if i have to.

    • @Wrenchie
      @Wrenchie  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Nuc... Really good question! Yes and no (I hate that answer). No, you can do it, I have. Yes, its heavier and you need to be more careful about supporting/securing it. Also, you may get some fuel flowing through the overflow tube so get a pan under the bike.

    Hi I have problem with my kn filter. I doesn't sit properly in the groove! The oem just slide in no problem but not kn. I can't even get the lid on properly with kn installed and it's same part number as yours z1000sx 2014 what can be the problem. There is a rubber seal along The groove, can it be that one interfering with the kn filter?

    • @Wrenchie
      @Wrenchie  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      First double check the part number is correct for your bike. Second, make sure the embossed part number on the K&N is facing up when you install it. Third, (and first) contact K&N to ensure that you have the correct part number for your model. My 2012 and 2016 Ninja 1000 both use the same K&N filter without any fuss. Not sure what the cause of your issue might be. Trying tp put it it upside down will cause a similar issue but I'm sure you have tried it both ways.

    Hi, we changed air filter and spark plugs and after the job was done check engine code came on with code 13 please let me know if you have any solutions thank you so much.

    • @Wrenchie
      @Wrenchie  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Crushing... See Azam's post above. What year is your ride? I'm thinking there is another vacuum line or sensor that is on the 2017 and later models that is not on the 2012... maybe not connected. Or, perhaps the airbox is not seated correctly over the throttle bodies and air is getting in past the airbox... that would cause a low vacuum pressure condition that a sensor may be picking up. I'm thinking out loud a bit but things worth checking. Let me know what you find.

      Fault Code 13 in my Workshop Manual says: (Faulty Component - ECU Response) Intake Air Temperature Sensor - engine will run, Intake Temp Signal Fixed at 40 Deg C. (Then....Possible Causes) = Faulty Wiring or connector. Faulty, Damaged or improperly installed Sensor. Faulty ECU. Hope that helps buddy.

    I have a 2017 Ninja 1000 and will be damned if I can find the correct K&N air filter part number. I go to their site and enter my bike specs and it will only show me oil filters (which I use). Anybody have a suggestion?

    • @Wrenchie
      @Wrenchie  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi @Christian Paul - It's probably a K&N KA-1111 . th-cam.com/video/j9v64JL3-_E/w-d-xo.html

    • @Wrenchie
      @Wrenchie  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      LOL! Assuming its a hinged tank, its pretty easy to keep it securely lashed in the upright position. Do watch all the connected lines!

  • @diegolainfiesta
    @diegolainfiesta ปีที่แล้ว

    Don´t use KYN. Overtime the oil damages the sensor. Just use OEM parts.

    And then when you take your bike into the shop, for work etc, and they hand you the labour charge, 50% of that is removing and fitting the useless fairings
