Well done Garth on showing an excellent video on the Steele family dairy. As a dairy farmer myself well done to the Steele boys for a tidy well run operation.👍👍
Looks like they have expanded alot but kept it clean and organised with a good working environment also. Credit to them. I deliver liquid feed to dairys, some are lovely and clean and some have got so big so fast they are just big shit holes. For some its like a game of how many cows they have compared to others, just keep it clean and organised as you go like these chaps.
What an operation. On a side note the place where you feed is is flat meaning the feed has to be pushed up, could this area not be set up with a slope so the feed would continually fall towards the cows by gravity?
The main reason is that the feed area is flat is that it is easier to clear away old silage. You can drive along with the bucket of the loader and clear it away easily.

It would need to be a serious slope
Obviously they must have a dairy man or two.
It's sad to think that not after this was made a terrible tragedy that hit the Steele family.
Sammy were is farmer dean the day 😂

Dairy boys have always been alright, a cheque every month makes a difference, who says dairying doesn't pay, all those 100grand robots theses days.
Not much use if the costs are higher than the milk cheque each month.
It makes bugeting easy still does not mean there is money in it! You still need to be a good operator to make money
