I really like it when Red Velvet holds a concert because their concert concept is very interesting and the line up of songs they perform is really good, Zimzalabim is an encore song that the members included at their concert, previously Zimzalabim was not included to be performed at the concert for RtoV and now the last concert in Korea the members asked if there was a song they wanted to hear then the fans asked for the song zimzalabim previously wendy didn't agree because it didn't have AR but the members performed it too and it became a permanent encore song for this RtoV concert,, I hope you can also react during their concert preparations, thank you ...
To spoil the music video worldview, reve means red velvet, but it also means dream and fantasy in French. Therefore, revefestival is a festival of colorful, dreamlike fantasy and at the same time a festival that exists only in dreams and fantasies. Red and velvet are the existence of doppelgangers and should not coexist. That's why Velvet invites Red to revefestival to lock them in a space of dreams and fantasies forever!
47:45 they also did a mini docuseries thing for making the r to v concert that's a couple episodes on youtube! would be cool to check it out one day :) edit: no you haven't heard everything from this concert yet. it happened last year just after birthday so there's songs from up to then!
They performed Sunny Side Up in its entirety on another show. Not that it's a huge deal considering they only omitted the second verse in the one you checked out but I always liked Wendy's "virus" part in that verse.
During the Zimzalabim group dance, that young girl is apparently now a trainee at SM. The guy wearing Black is Gotoh. He's a TH-camr and a huge Red Velvet fan.
So a lot of the songs form this trilogy of albums were performed at their La rouge Concert the footage of which is locked deep in SM's basement under lock and key so all we have are fan cams from it and because we was expecting full release it's nearly all Fansite cams for individual member. a mistake Luvies have not made again since.
19:59 Apologies if you already knew this but "Moonshine!" is the producer tag. They produce a lot of RV tracks (also many other SM songs in general) and hide a differently modified version of their tag in the intros. It has become a bit of a game among some fans to listen for the producer tag since and for some songs they hide/blend it really well as a challenge for fans. (I wrote this in another Reactor's comment section who happens to have reacted to the same album as you recently lol)
this came out the year I was introduced to Kpop, and Red Velvet was the last of the big 3rd gen groups that hit my radar. Zimzalabim and Umpah Umpah - on their own - weren't enough to interest me. Psycho, the title track for the Finale, made me an instant stan, and I bought the compilation album. I've never looked back, and have been a reveluv ever since (Sunnyside Up is one of my favorite songs of theirs) all 3 albums are no skip for me. It's one of their best eras.
Loved this album and I’m pumped to check out the rest of The Reve Festival, Psycho is one of my favorites from RV too when we heard it back in the First Look Tournament, I was hooked!
I remember when Zimzalabim was released it was highly polarizing between both ReVeluv and Kpop fans in general, people either loved it or hated it. I was in the club of not really liking it at all, but as time went on and I heard it more times it grew on me. I eventually figured out that I think I didn't initially like the song because it doesn't have any sort of build up into the electronic drop in the chorus. It doesn't even feel like a proper pre-chorus, just a normal sounding verse and then it pushes you off a cliff into the chorus. I came from the world of EDM before getting into Kpop so I actually like the chorus a lot, it was just the flow of the song that bothered me. Once I got used to the song I started to like it more. I think what subconsciously upset me more was that the bridge into the final chorus is complete perfection and what I was expecting with a proper build up in instrumentals and vocals before dropping into the chorus. It felt like a "what could've been" moment that would've made the whole song perfect if the rest of it flowed that way. In the end I've now grown to like the song quite a bit and now I've got the unique perspective of understanding both sides of why people might love the song or not vibe with it at all.
I could definitely see it being a polarizing song, I think for me it hits that spot of experimentation that I absolutely love Kpop for, the fact that they’re unafraid to just do something wildly different really vibes with me
Also not to spam the comments section but thought this would interest you the Dancers with them during R to V are MEGA crew and include Dreamcatcher's Dancers and also their performance Director Hwang Sooyeon.
Will you also be doing Solo and Sub-unit reactions? Rocket power (Seulgi, Wendy, Joy) have a few BEAUTIFUL live songs together IRENE and SEULGI have a sub-unit mini album. SEULGI, WENDY, JOY HAVE SOLO ALBUMS. YERI AND IRENE HAVE LOVELY OST'S AND SINGLES. And they all have amazing features on others artists songs.
Zimzalabim in RV's concert is always a banger, I can still remember my legs being so painful the next day because of jumping so much during ZZB. Oh and a little fun fact: ReVe is not actually pronounced as Reh-veh, it's pronounced as Ree-vuh by the Korean members and Reeve (ree-v) by Wendy, I think it was supposed to be a word play on the word 'Rave' or something like that and if I recall correctly, Yeri was the one who thought of that word I remember there was a clip of her saying that SM should pay her for trademark because of that lol.
it's pronounced closer to Rev-veu as a korean approximation it comes from the French words rêverie/rêve/rêver and 레-베 as the first 2 parts of Red Velvet 레드벨벳.
@@FashionBarbie th-cam.com/video/IMRrMAaY6LU/w-d-xo.html Here, when Irene introduced the Album, she pronounced it as Reeve. th-cam.com/video/wgy8QcLC688/w-d-xo.html and this one, Wendy pronouncing it as reeve too. I couldn't find the clips of other members pronouncing it the same but I remember watching it on a compilation or meme video but yeah, it doesn't matter how it's pronounced, I personally read it as reh-vay too since I actually got used to saying it that way lol
@@wintertaengoo so in order to explain why they say it that way here specifically is cause it's technically Reve's festival as in ReVe the character's festival. It's a little hard to explain. It's an approximation for ease of pronunciation. The SM press release explained it all during Red Mare
@@FashionBarbie Well let's just say any pronounciation is correct so we don't confuse ourselves lol. I just want to say I didn't comment it to correct sylver's pronunciation I honestly don't care how people pronounce it lmao, I just meant to add it to share a fun thing I discovered while watching random RV videos on yt a long time ago lol

That’s really cool that it got added because of the fans!
Seulgi started the Angry Abs trend. But Wendy's nickname (one of many) is Wabs. Wendy + abs.
For very good reason 😳

I really need to dig into their lore more, that sounds fascinating! 😊
Red Velvet deserves a percentage of every toll paid in the world for the bridge in ZZB

Oooh the documentary series sounds interesting! I think it’d be fun to check out 😁 And wow ok, it’s a more recent show than I thought!

Ahhh okay so because everyone was like “this will definitely get a Blu-ray” no one did a full view fan cam
@@SylverReacts Exactly. It's crazy cause the entire thing was Moulin Rouge / Burlesque themed 😔
Oh man that sounds like it would make for a spicy Blu-ray 🥵
