It's also 10 years old, and I'm starting to get back into speed cubing a bit more, so I'm finding certain algorithms being a bit slow on it. Yes, it's become less my ability, and more of a cube thing as I speed up. This video is very helpful. Thanks!
Being an outlier is completely fine. Several staff members also had outlier picks for their favorite cubes. As long as our favorite cubes are giving us the best times, we should be confident in our favorites.

The tornado v3 is my absolute favorite. I have never tried the gan 13 but the tornado V3 with the right setup. I have had no lockups no issues... I genuinely love everything about it
I get all giddy inside when someone says that the tornado v3 is the best cube there is for now, since I bought it and am waiting to arrive ( and since I bought it directly from China I'm having to wait even longer 😥)
@@7oclock oh it's great, I had a rs3 m 2020 before the tornado, and it's sooooo much better, the only thing that I could complain is that it makes a little noise on a couple adjustables magnets, it it's almost unoticeable, and there's videos teaching how to stop it if I really want to do something about it. So, pretty good, and even though I don't have much experience with different cubes I can fell that this is, if not the best, one of the best cubes out there.
That wasn't the only reason, it was only a side note. I honestly think it wasn't that much of a step up to the 2020, but it's just personal preference. It's still an amazing cube, it just doesn't work well for me.

This is great. It only reinforces my instinct towards getting the Tornado V3 and RS3 super for my next cubes. Feeling really good about the Tornado. I thought the V2 was great, sooo smooth, and the most logical adjustment system. But I just couldn't get passed the corner cutting issues. Thanks for the recommendations! I am surprised that the WRM 2021 isn't more popular - I think it's great and it is my main.
Those are both really good next cubes. The RS3 M Super is pretty inexpensive, so it's very low risk. It's good for carrying around and if it doesn't become a main, it's a good backup. The Tornado V3 is a really good sequel to the V2. They were very smart with the updates. I can't speak for the others, but I feel the WRM 2021 isn't 100% compatible with my turning style. I tried using it a lot last year but my performance on it wasn't great. It was good from a pure feel perspective but I wasn't extremely happy with my times.

Started cubing 2 week ago and ordered the super rs3m immediately without knowing anything about cube. Lucky that its high in this tier. But im having dreams about v3 after everyone is recommending it. Should i pull the trigger and order it?

After watching this, I decided to get a GAN 12 (I already had a 13, but liked the Tornado v3 Pioneer just a little more). I actually like the feel of the GAN 12 more than the 13 and have been using it more. I do like the adjustment system of the 13 more, but can’t get it to feel like the 12. I have never lubed my 12, but have lubed my 13 and even though I’ve cleaned it, it’s just not the same. Anyway, thanks for the comparisons. It was helpful.

My ranking is almost the exact inverse of yours! The tengyun v3 is my favorite, and the tornado v3 is my least favorite. The gan 12 and 13 go near the bottom (I prefer the 11 and XS). I guess I have bad taste. Does anyone else in the comments agree with me?
I don't think you have bad taste. It's just very different. If you genuinely get your best times or feel your best on the Tengyun V3, then that has to be the best for you.
I find it hilarious that everyone put the TengYun V3 on their lowest ranks. I haven't even bought any of DaYan's modern cubes because I absolutely hate how they handled the dual adjustment system--a standard screw _completely destroys the point_ of the incremental tension adjustment, DaYan!!!

How do you guys remove cube logos? For example the logo of the tornado v3 or the gan 13 maglev uv? I wanna use it for blindfolded but I‘m not allowed a Logo
I got a RS3M and RS3M Super (MagLev) and personally enjoy the Super quite a bit more. It's strange how JFcubing said the Super was an upgrade to the RS3M, yet put it 3 tiers lower. Doesn't make any sense, if it's better then it should be ranked higher.
Well it's more considered an upgrade, but for me, it didn't work so well. There's actually a thread of comments somewhere in here where I explain my thought process more. You can read that. I will definitely have to play around with it more, but for me right now, I just can't do well on it despite the updates. Also I guess I ranked the 2020 more based on impact. It had a huge impact on the budget cube market, and I didn't really see anything revolutionary in the super, it just kinda... exists. Not a popular opinion, but this makes me want to play around with it more, maybe set it up differently or something. Might make a vid out of it idk lol

they are both great with different capabilities you'll love them both if you both have them I have them both and I cant compare them its both great cubes but if you are super fast cube then pioneer are good for you and if you want a cube that can be controlled choose flagship
If we did the GuHong V3, I'd personally put it on C or D tier. It doesn't feel competitive with the other cubes on the list and the reverse corner cutting is limited. I unfortunately didn't get good times on it when I tried to use it.

This makes me sad that I bought the v3 tornado as my first real cube (first was a fake $2 qiyi clone that I first learnt beginner method on) as I didn't know there were 3 versions and the shop I bought it from didn't make it clear there were other versions so I only got the basic version as it was the only one they sold 😭
Why not include the Meilong M! Sure it's like an RS3M but it's 6 bucks and has more differences to the Rs3 than the Gan 12 to the 13 has. Also Gts2M set the WR single so maybe include that as a cube that has stood the test of time!

If you’re gonna put the RS3M Super in B tier because it had breaking issues, by that logic you can’t put the Tornado V3 in S tier
They fixed it to where you can only break it by forcing it to break.
They also fixed the RS3M super so the point stands, I personally think it should only affect the rating if the current batch of cubes is breaking
