  • I change the fuel filter on my Kioti tractor for the first time. Had a few learning experiences well doing it, so I thought I would share.

Great video and sincere thanks for taking the time to record your experience and share it here for all of us to learn. Well done.
I just finished replacing the fuel filter on my 4010 after 200 hrs and watched your video to help me through it - I learned couple things that some may find helpful...
There is no need to crimp the fuel line. Instead, do not remove the sensor from the bottom of the existing filter (leave it screwed on), just unclip the wire connector. Then, open the bleeder valve to release pressure in the filter. Then simply remove the filter slowly but keep it upright carefully so no fuel spills from the filter. Remove the filter and drain the fuel in to your hazard waste bucket. Just a couple drips of fuel dripped from the housing, that's it !
Once the old filter is removed and drained then remove the sensor and attach to the new filter. Then install the new filter to the housing and reconnect the wire.
Then pump to charge the filter and once that's done tighten the bleeder valve. When I went to start mine after all that the tractor ran for about 20 seconds then died - clearly from fuel starvation. Not a problem... Restart the tractor, will take about 7 or so seconds before it fires and runs.
    Hope this helps others.
    Thanks again for posting !

thanks again for your video. I changed my fuel filter yesterday and followed your advice. I clamped the fuel line and unscrewed the filter with the plug still attached at the bottom and only had a small trickle of fuel. Replaced the filter, primed and voilà....I was so proud til I looked at my old filter and noticed a small rubber O-ring/washer on the ground. So my lesson learned is to not forget the small O-ring that goes between the bottom of filter and electrical screw plug that attaches to the bottom. I also noticed an other O-ring where the filter screws onto the frame. In the end all good. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the video. I hand threaded an m6 bleeder valve (or use a bored out m6 zerk) into the fuel priming port with a piece of tubing to minimize spills while priming.

3 good video's; hydraulics, oil, and fuel maintenance. Good detailed step by step review. Not sure if you have ever changed your front axle oil, but my JD had accumulated debris at the bottom of each wheel spindle, so I was glad I did it at 100hrs. Also, your radiator overflow tank is a little low. Keep up the informative DIY videos.

Thanks, i did not change the front axle oil, but will definitely change it out now just to be safe.

Hey Beav, I really appreciate you taking the time to shoot and post these videos! I have the same tractor (only difference is its cab model cause I am getting old and wimpy and have to push snow with it in the winter). I am getting ready to do the first scheduled maintenance myself and your videos will help a ton. I also have the backhoe and I am freaking out a little about your most recent issues. I have checked mine, and so far so good, but I am going to definitely keep an eye on that frame. Bummer Kioti didn't help you out on that one, but your repair looked like it would be stronger than new! By the way, your laugh reminds me of a buddy of.mine and I can't help but grin when I hear it. 😁

Don't you just LUV it when the manual is SO explicit ..... (NOT). Thanks for TH-cam to get me the info for completing all sorts of maintenance projects. This one helped out with the Kioti 7320 for the 200 hr changes.

    My filter number is> EH35-0011A.

I have the same tractor and it dies everytime I go uphill even a slight grade. Only 97 hours. Any ideas or thoughts? My first thought was to replace the fuel filter. Maybe its diesel bug clogging up the line.

No need to pinch the fuel line. The tank is well below the filter.
