Hi, can anyone help, I've got an RC5 to play my own original guitar backing tracks, so guitar, bass and drums live with an added guitar track. With this set up how can I use a click track for the drummer to keep in time with the RC5 bits? Anyone know what's best to do?
      Cheers.

Hey Ben - love your RC-5 information. Of all the videos ( on this pedal ) . . . Your's is the most Clearly-explained and the easiest to understand, absorb & digest. Thanks for all the great-effort, you put into this. FS-6 takes it to a whole other level. I also use the FS-6. oNe LovE from NYC

I’ve had the same issue with two FS-6 footswitches. They wear out and after a while, pressing one footswitch will trigger both.
This is why I think the FS-7 is a better design. Might not be higher quality components or whatever but it’s set up in a way that’s not so prone to failure.

I have the boss katana mk2 100w amp single 12 speaker, I have the ga-fc and the fs-6. I also have a zoom g3xn running through the effects loop on the back of the amp. I just purchased the RC-5 and thought I would run it with the g3xn. Should I run it mono this way or should I run it from the A/B output of the FS-6? If so where would I run the output from the RC-5 to the amp?
That's why I was thinking of returning it mono to the effects loop down stream of the g3xn. What are your thoughts on this?

Hey thanks a lot for all the cool info. Just a question: I would like to connect to my rc5 both an FS-6 (to control A stop/clear and B reverse mode) as well as an expression pedal (to control volume of the loop). Do you know if that would be possible? Would that mean I should connect the FS-6 to the midi-in‘s mini-jack in the back and the exp on the right? Would everything work like that? Thanks anybody in advance for an answer 🍻❤️

Please look up balanced vs. unbalanced, as neither apply to switch circuits, only audio/AC. Also, there is only one ring, ergo "TRS", for tip, ring, sleeve, with sleeve as gnd.

Ben - I am mainly a solo acoustic player and new to looping. Thinking about buying a Boss RC-5. Does it make sense to buy this and the FS-6 pedal or would you recommend getting an RC-30 or RC-500 loop station? Thanks!

    • @24AnVRodri
      @24AnVRodri 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I’ll help you out a bit of you haven’t figured which one works for you. Question you need to ask yourself is will you be recording VOCALS as well? If so then the RC300 & 500 are your best bet. From there it’s personal choice but the 500 is just a smaller more compact version of the 300. Only difference is that instead of 3 phases (RC-300), you’ll only get 2 (RC-500). If it’s just guitar then go with the RC-5. HOWEVER, you can still have VOCALS on the RC-5 but it will be tied to your 1 giant loop on the RC-5. If no problems with that then go with RC-5.

Hello Ben, I've got this set up and most of the time it's good. However I'm finding out from time to time that when I press the external pedal my rc 5 pedal lights flicker and moves fast to another patch. I can't get out of that mode

With the external footswitch, is RC5 clearing the track quietly, without playing it first? Are you able to clear it while playing/recording, without going to a stop first? So that you can go straight to start a new looping track?

Hey, great video! would really appreciate some help if possible. Using an FS-5U footswitch with my RC-3 Boss looping pedal to avoid that pesky double-tapping to stop the loop. The FS pedal stops the loop - but then immediately clears it so it is permanently deleted. I don't know why it's doing this, anyone had this before or get any suggestions? I'd be sincerely grateful - Cheers!

I have the same question. If I had to guess, it'd be the "memory increase" / "memory decrease" functions you see at 4:54 mark. I am assuming you'd just assign that function to one of the switches. Really do wish he explained each function instead of just scrolling through to the functions he wanted.

      Turning the power on/off
The OUTPUT A (MONO) jack doubles as the power
switch. Power to the unit is turned on when you plug
into the OUTPUT A (MONO) jack; the power is turned
off when the cable is unplugged.
