I literally forgot one of the major points I been thinking about for the last few months!
They should definitely put mastery points that you can buy from the Astral Vault! That way people that are missing 1 or 2 mastery's can get them from there if they want!

I actually disagree with this point. I think having the Mastery Points locked behind an achievement or locked behind terrain puzzles in open world is great because it gets the player to interact specifically with that content. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Just my opinion 🤷🏼‍♂️

@@joshuaherring9674 I agree to big part, achievement hunting and doing deeds is a big part of the game but I think giving the players who prefer not doing so much of that content the option to drop like 500 Astral into avoiding doing a deed, allows player to play the game the way they want to.

There is a problem in our world for some time... catering to the absolut masses... and trying to please everyone only works to a certain point...
You step over that line and you dig your own grave because it is not how any society ... not the society of a country nor and subgroup like gamers work...
In the end you will loose more people to their disapointement then you gain...
My estimate would be at least half... half of the player base is what anet would loose to putting MPs in the vault

Honestly for dungeons something that would go a very long way with extremely minimal dev resources is to just buff the rewards to be competitive with fractals, on a once per day basis. And then maybe have a "dungeon of the day" that is competitive with a t4 fractal in terms of rewards.
From what I've gathered in all my time playing, there's two reasons people don't play dungeons, and it's not because they're not fun. People just don't seem them as worth the time spent, so they don't do them in favor of other content that does reward them well, and then the other people that don't run dungeons is those that want to, but find it impossible to find groups. Fix the first issue, and you also fix the second.

    1. I kind of see where you're coming from with introducing Fractals early on. However, i do see the current dungeons at this point as the entry level to the 5-man content. While not perfect, they do meet the requirements as a tutorial. They've been made easier to access thankfully through LA outside of the aerodrome, and i appreciate Anet for releasing dungeon rush to pull people in temporarily.
    2. This i totally agree. More UI options are good. They've only dine minor changes, but yeah this a sound one.
    3. I think they nail this often throughout many segments of the game. For this expac, they missed the mark, but thus is more of a hit or miss thing in general. They do a goid job often enough and seen good set pieces in the past.
    4. To an extent, Outfits kind of do the job to make yourself look good while leveling. Its hides your equipment and makes you look pretty badass. However i do get the idea of just wanting to have your own persistent combination at all times. Kind of like the Prism system in FF14, which honestly would be nice.
    5. We call this Low Intensity builds. Many people in the community have created guides to make those kinds of builds. Its a matter of searching them or asking others.
    6. This is a given. Guild Systems nowadays are a bit lackluster and does need a refresh.
    7. They've kind of created solutions for that: Wizard's Vault weekly objectives, and Rush Events. Many players flock to older content when these events arrive or rotate.
    8. I like your spirit with this idea, but im not quite sure what Anet could pull off to get people intrigued. Technically with the expacs system, they do launch quarterly/seasonal updates now. Its a part of a strategy to release more content more often which i appreciate. Im glad they've learned from SotO their strengths and weaknesses now, so i hope JaW is an improvement.
    9. This I 100% agree. More emotes or improvements to the system. Hell, i want a GPose style system for photo mode, like in FF14.
    10. Yeah about that... XD

You can play Fractals as soon as you enter Lions Arch. You get upscaled while doing fractals. Not that its recommended but you can do it.

Two important things for me :
1 - Reworking and updating old content and systems. Make the old stuff feel like it's new and corrected (cause there are definitely things that are... poorly done, or unfinished). This is a crucial part of long term video games imo and arenanet almost never does that, which is pretty bad ! Also unify and simplify some needlessly complex stuff.
2 - Actually it could just be a sub category of part one, but I think that part needs a special attention, even if the two actually have to be done together.
Completely redo the new player experience, the early game and leveling. Just erase what has been done for the steam release, its just super bad and doesnt help for anything in any way (excepet getting xp faster which is not even needed, especially not for a new player). Give proper tutorials to systems and gameplay. Use the whole free to play part of the game to introduce players to the rest of the game. They need players to actually learn via active tutorials and gameplay how the game works in general, and then be introduced to strikes, masteries, and things like that.
Those two things actually include so much stuff it would be hard to sumarize everything here. This should be a big project taken by a whole dedicated team.

id legitimately cream my pants for some new dungeons, honestly dungeons were so unique, i mean their going back to raids but the issue with raids for me is the community for raids feels so gate keepy, i like how ff14 handles more dungeons an raids where it funnels players into them or at the very least allows you to take your own premade npc squads

I think it'd be nice if they keep the story modes of the dungeons and get rid of explorables, rework them into fractals, completely get rid of the dungeon tokens and add the dungeon vendors into the fractals with fractal currency.
The "easy mode" builds are called "low intensity" builds, I recommend to look that up for some very easy builds. (some are literally only auto attack and deal nearly 30k damage)
I think the guild reward thing is kinda difficult to do because you can join 6 guilds. Might be overwhelming for people if they gotta do those guild missions for rewards in all 6 guilds. i think it's fine if the guild is just a social gathering kinda thing. Plus, with the WvW rework the guilds gain another function aside from the missions, guildhall and social aspect. Instead I'd want them to rework the guild vendors, put some skins or loot in there that's actually worth going for with the guild tokens you get from completing guild missions. Also gotta get those missions reworked because some of them are really tedious and just simply bad. force people to do WvW missions in groups of 3 but base the WvW pairing on servers, gotta be a joke, I'm so happy it's gonna be based on the guild you're in starting friday next week xD
Other than those I agree on everything else, great video ^^
Btw did you know they got a Sims4 dev to do the housing? I hope if whatever comes out of it is better than what we have with the guildhall customization they also rework that with the same tech.

As a gw2 player who still does dungeons daily.....how dare you suggest they delete dungeons.
What I would love to see is turn story truly into story. Make it a single-player instance. Explorable, don't touch them, leave them exactly as they are, but give dungeon tokens state selectable exotics through the vendor.
Finally turn all the dungeon story bosses into lvl80 strike missions that also count towards dungeon frequenter.

    • @pega7550
      @pega7550 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@jesseliddelow6409 that's fair, but what would change if you were able to run the exact same explorable dungeon (maybe a bit more streamlined to fit all the explorable stories into one path) as a fractal instead? It'd be a similar experience imo and we'd get some usage out of these beautiful instances, instead of letting them collect dust.
Completely agree to make the story modes a single-player instance so new players can experience the story when it's relevant and keep it untouched otherwise.
I'd also agree on having those exotics be stat selectable. Saves a lot of space on the vendors as well.
They should also get rid of the requirement to complete the explorable paths of a dungeon six times before you can buy all of the armor pieces of that dungeon, ascalon is pretty much the only dungeon being run more frequently atm, because it's the easiest/fastest to do...
It's just a content type barely anyone touches anymore even though it's so good, so I want people to interact more with it. Even if it means turning them into fractals.

Get rid of transmutation charges they're archaic, add other ways of earning Mount skins than gem store and black lion chest. I agree UI customization would be good, I mean GW1 literally had it before WoW did.

Gonna be real, I got tired of logging in every day spending time cleaning the bags of my bags of my bags. Literally not what I want to do most the time, specially when trying to pound out story. I also hate that some missions are still sucky long and I don’t have time for them all in one sit and I don’t know the length of them until I try. So I quit. 😢

Inventory management actually gets really easy and fast (seconds) when you learn the shtick, but the game of course never teaches you.
I can't blame you for hating the randomly long story missions though, that does suck a lot when you're going in blind.

They should just make a soloable version of the dungeon for the lore with reduced rewards.
