Its funny because the Silurians were brought back in Hungry Earth/Cold Blood from series 5 with Matt Smith. That two parter was written by future showrunner Chris Chibnall. Now the Silurians are back with former showrunner Steven Moffat
I was hoping with the new (and much better) Chibnall Sontaran design, we'd get something similar with the Silurians. Nope, they're just a joke now like the Sontarans have been for the past 15 years.

There needs to be a future multi-Doctor special where 15 shows up at a really important moment where all the Doctors are teaming up, and say “ham and cheese toastie and pumpkin spice latte”, not realize that loads of his past (and future) selves are here, and then leave assuming he has the wrong person.
I've always assumed the locked door in hotel rooms is the connecting door to the next room; they unlock when two parties rent two adjacent rooms at the same time and ask specifically to allow contact between the them (which I've actually seen done). Otherwise, yes, it's locked. And can still be used for timey-wimey purposes, of course....

In the best way you can spot a Moffat influenced episode a mile away. We saw old London (Not their era but still felt like it) so I hope that could at least hint at Jenny Strax and Vastra. I miss them and think they would work well in RTD's second era. Liking the look of the Xmas companion. Seems likable. Lonely, not much going on. Exactly the type of person the Doctor the best out in. Very excited
