I don't like the new Local on the 8s. It goes too fast, and there's not enough contrast between the white text and the light background, and there's apparently no evening forecast during Morning Rush, and what happened to the voice? (Fort Wayne, IN, on Xfinity) The new "Weather all the time" feature is a good start, but I'd prefer it to go a bit slower, 6 seconds per screen instead of 4, so that I can take in all the information. And it too needs a bit darker background.

The Weather all the time song that is playing in the video is my favorite. 0:00-0:36 reminds me of a morning on the beach. 0:36 to 1:17 reminds me of large tsunamis coming in and widespread panic.
Is it just me, or after this transition was the tone for severe warnings much ... softer, like, almost blends in to the background (same with the "A warning has been issued for your area" v/o)? That IMO is really ... not good design since you want that to stick out (same with the crawl blending in more than it used to being only partly red now).

I think I'll watch for Hurricanes but just because it's interesting to see how they cover it now compared to when Andrew hit and they had John Hope (a much better way of reporting back then instead of sensationalism today).
Why are they using prototype graphics 4 days before the launch, is it because their fancier, because I would imagine that they would be done working on it they just had to launch it.

The Weather channel has become MUCH less effective at giving me the weather information I need when I need it most. The changes implemented recently have proven that the producers of the weather channel are utterly out of touch with what people truly need to know. For instance, if a storm is approaching my area, they stop displaying the actual track and instead give me words at the bottom of the screen. Even more disturbing is that they won't break from the programming to show what people need to see. I'M TOTALLY DONE WITH THE WEATHER CHANNEL!
The older one was better because it would show traffic conditions and moon phases. It would also have the tides and forecast now in other regions in that area on the local on the 8s
No 24/7 weather coverage still this is not worth it go back to how it was in the 90s with 24/7 weather coverage and no reality TV shows and then I will watch again and no real music on local on the 8s

UPDATE: Either it's improved somewhat, or I've got used to it. But at least the voice is back, as is the evening forecast during AMHQ.

The Local on the 8's is actually meant for cable TV subscribers only as I found out several years ago.

this was a demo reel of the is2 for cable providers, DirecTV and Dish got the national feed instead due to being satellite TV.
The new one has a lot of bugs and errors. I don't like the new one.
