I really like this technique and I feel that it would work well with older children. I have an activity that I do whereby I read a book about worries and then i have the children write down their worries and feed them into a monster face, which has been glued onto a piece of paper and this works well with younger children. Thank-you for sharing.

Thanks for the great video. Would you consider this to be a type of REBT therapy?
What a great idea. I will use it when I am assessing with a client.
I hope you find it helpful!
Very helpful! Thank you
So glad you found it helpful!
Love the metaphor! How would you modify this to use with a 6 year old?
Can this technique be used with very young children? Specifically ages 3-5. Looking for activities to use with very young kids to help them to identify their feelings and develop coping skills.
This technique sounds great...what age group would you recommend this activity for?
Geared for kids aged 11 and up, also great for adults
I love your work! :)
+Giovanna Farnum Thanks for your kind words!
What would you think of doing this with rocks?
+natalie harmon (chaosforkisses) Yes that would work, although I prefer paper so client can write the worries on the strips of paper.
