    I’m so glad the number 3 was in victory lane again, but that crash with Almirola at the end was brutal.

      I guess Earnhardt got into his car and instead of the 3 turned, the 3 turned someone else.

    I knew Dillon was going too spin Almirola before it even happened. Dillon was pushing against his bumper for a good 4 seconds.

    I've been watching the Daytona 500 since 1993. I've never missed one. This race was very exciting and entertaining. I don't understand the hate in these comments about that. Also, I'm a big Dale Sr fan, always have been, and although it's cool to see the 3 car win at Daytona, and all with the neat coincidences etc, I don't like the way it ended. I mean, coming to the finish, nobody's gonna lift, but that kinda left me with mixed emotions. All in all, I enjoyed it though, and I wanna thank NASCAR for still bringing this action to us fans.

      Interview with Jeff Gluck, he said he went up to block and it was late and it caused him to get turned. I love how the arm chair crew chiefs (Not reffering to you) are complaining when Aric himself said that Austin wasn't driving aggressively, that both were just trying to win the 500. I feel for Eric, but Austin got that push from Bubba and had the momentum, it's exactly what happened with Elliott & Keselowski in stage 2.

    Thank you for posting this video, The complete idiots at Fox Sport listed this broadcasting as the 2018 Daytona 500 rather than NASCAR 2018 Daytona 500. All Direct TV and Dish subscribers DVR units only recognize the races as NASCAR for recording. Therefore the DVR's did not record this race while people like me were out of town. Thanks for NOTHING Fox Sports!

    I know I am from the UK and so i'm going to get some serious stick for this comment. But i cannot help but think that was a very cheated win from Dillon. I like him, but to spin the leader on purpose at the end seems like a shallow win. Just my view. Congrats tho.

      @luizmendesjunior6670 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It´s Nascar politics, I think. You are comparing to F-1. Almirola was slower but insisted on closing the door, a manouver that could also make Dillon spin. Dillon prefered to risk and front-touch the adversary rather than going for a break and spin himself. Almirola went for an all or nothing and Dillon paid the bet. Blaney and Elliot faced a similar situation in stage 2. Blaney "slamed" the door. Elliot went down the inside but could not hold it and spinned.

    No matter what you say, all his fans, the #3 fans, his team, and himself will always believe that he deserves the win. I would love to hear all of them if another driver had drilled him into the wall to take over the lead. And can’t wait for it to happen to him, but he’s never leading a race! I guess I’ll have to wait for the next fuel mileage option race to see if he can lead that way again.

    Okay, so I’m a KB fan.Kyle Busch crashed early in the race. Thankfully it wasn’t hard enough to hurt him and he was able to continue the race and was at the end of the field the whole race, without even a draft. and Kyle Busch is one of those drivers drivers who push things to limits, in 2015 Daytona xfinity race KB was pushing Erik Jones hard to try to win.
    Erik jones went sideways and KB went down low to save it and came back up and hit Larson and slid through the infield grass. Going head on into the inside wall. Kyle stuffed a broken leg and a broken foot. If Kyle was up front for the end of the 500. That could of happened again. While the loss was dissopointing, I’m glad he was safe. I’ve always hated plate racing after his 2015 Daytona xfinity crash.

    I understand this is just my opinion and others may hold a different one. My first Nascar race I watched was the 1989 Daytona 500. Ever since the chase started in 2004, I began to lose interest, but since then, they have also added the lucky dog, double-file restarts, a ridiculous playoff system, and since last year, stage racing. In my opinion, yesterdays race was the biggest joke of a Daytona 500 I have ever seen. This is not the racing I fell in love with. I understand that things change, but this is just over the top. Austin Dillon should have been nowhere near the lead at the finish. To all those who enjoy this kind of racing, more power to you. I cannot do this no longer, and I am officially done with Nascar. Thanks for the good memories, but again, in my opinion, this current product is a joke. Good bye Nascar.

      Okay, fair enough. Let me rephrase. Racing the way it used to be, the way I grew up loving this sport, get rid of the stupid green-white checkers, stages, and double-file restarts, he is a 15th place car. Again, times change, I get it. I just do not like this type of racing. My frustration is coming through. Call me old, I don't care. I feel this racing sucks. If you like it, I hope you enjoy. I'm done.

    Austin Dillon is a disgrace to Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s name. He will never deserve the 3 car. Now, I know that's going to sound a little controversial, seeing as he's Richard Childress's grandson, but do you think Dale Earnhardt Sr. would have wrecked Aric Almirola for the win? Answer: Never.

      Did u even know Dales driving style? To him everyone was just in his way, if he couldnt pass you he'd wreck you, hence the nickname "The Intimidator" because everyone would be scared when they saw him in their rear view mirror

      Ohhh. I so forgot about that. That's just what I saw someone say in the comments section for Race Rewind: 2015 Daytona 500.
