I appreciate your tips and hacks. They are all so helpful. I'm picking up a poster bag today. You make me smile and laugh out loud. You have a great sense of humor. I love you quote that you "buy faster than you stitch". I used to stitch on clothing years ago. My children always wanted something that was just for them. I'm pulling out my tear away and going thru my tiny motifs. I laugh when you drink your water from your fancy wine glass...but anything to brighten our day is wonderful. I love your craft room. Can't wait for your next video. So many patterns, so little time. 😉
A less expensive way to iron your cross stitch is to use a microfibre towel on your ironing board. It won't crush your stitches, and it clings to your fabric. Love ya!
Thanks for sharing your craft room and all of your tips. I really enjoy your videos. I laugh out loud!! I asked my husband to watch the part where you show your floss .. # goals!!🤣. Denise
I absolutely laughed out loud at the expression when you were reading the packaging blurb about ironing being fun - exactly how I feel. If I want stress, I would remarry an ex instead of ironing LOL! My mother, on the total opposite end of the normal spectrum, finds ironing relaxing so guess who gets to do all my ironing. I got my cast off Friday and am free to do whatever. I was quite surprised how stiff it was after sleeping Friday night but, after a couple hours of flexing and extending, it loosened up enough that I was able to do beading on the edging of my first hummingbird biscornu. I just wanted my piece to have a little more pizazz and sparkle. I think it is going to be nice looking for a first attempt. I need to find somewhat to hold my perforated paper pieces. Have tried the wood stretcher bars and didn't like them at all but my hands keep cramping when I stitch on it, thus limiting my ability to make progress. Thanks for another great video. Happy crafting.
Glad I made you giggle! I find myself absurd at times😂My dad was an avid stitcher and loved doing Mill Hill pieces. He was also a wood worker. He copied the perforated paper wood frame that’s sold but did care for it and went back to hand stitching. I think the trick to paper stitching is to relax the hand and not grab so tight, also to do it on a table rather than chair stitching. So glad your cast is off!!!! Continue healing ❤
Hello from Walkertown,North Carolina. Yes you are an enabler. I bought your neck light. It’s fantastic. I’m just getting back into cross stitch starting out with a pre printed pansy design. Mostly I’m a card and jewelry maker and love to read.
OMG!! Thank you so much for telling us about the retractable highlighters in a previous video!! I never would have thought to even look for them. I bought a set and love it! So much easier to use and I’m not so worried about getting it on my fabric, face, or fingers!
Good morning 🌄 Another informative video. Love your humor checked out the frames at Amazon. Their not janlynn, but will give it a try. 😅 Again thank you Debbie in CT
Just began following you! Getting caught up. Love what you're doing. I've been collecting patterns as if I'm immortal. Need to get stitching. (I'm 71 [horrors]). Thank you❤
@@Sarahthenorthwoodsstitcher My husband once told my Mom, better than being in the bars! What was he thinking? Drink of choice is coffee, tea, or water!!LOL
I love that you always know where something is in your studio, even though it’s a big space. I’ve been looking online at wool pressing mats. Almost every mat has 3-4% of reviews saying the mat melts and leaves gunk on the iron. What size iron do you use? I have a full-size iron that I’d have set for linen/cotton. I wouldn’t be using a smaller palm-size iron. Would appreciate your thoughts on the melting issue. Thanks!
I have never had a meltdown on my mat😮I have a standard regular iron I use the same setting as you….wonder if those people leaving reviews just can’t iron?
I believe the pattern that you showed at the end (Certified Cross Stitcher) was from a Jeremiah Junction cross-stitch magazine. Sadly they have retired.
As always love your video! Love you share your tips too and gadgets ! I cross stitch for a purpose like to give away, I don’t cross stitch and then stack them up and put away in a closet, do you ? Just wondering. My sisters cross stitch so many pieces only to have them stored away ☹️
I have crates upon crates of a revolving art show😂they are based on seasons. I do a lot to gift to people but I do have quite a stack waiting for frames or pillow forms.
What are the names of the Facebook sites that sell cross-stitch? You have me intrigued...and somewhat addicted-just like the certified cross-stitcher.😄
Oooo! A victim! 😂. You need to check out : Stash Unload. Then there’s Cross Stitch Stash Unload and also Stash, Stash and More Stash. Be sure to answer questions in order to be approved by the groups. Happy shopping!!!
You know so much, you wouldn't happen to know a company that will make custom frames or already have a ton of sizes available that are reasonably priced? I live about 79 miles from any town that carries frames. I have a heavy work load and don't have time to go shopping very often. 😢😢😢😢

Wow I like those magazine holders. I did not know those existed.
They’ve been a great organizer and I can sit at my table, leaf through them and post it note any patterns I want to do ❤
I did the silver creek sampler for my husband for our 50th anniversary last year. Love your content.
I believe the HD Aida stands for hand dyed. In other words not colorfast. Been enjoying your channel. Keep posting.

Love all your tips
Really loved to tips!!
Glad it was helpful!
I store mine in binders in the clear page protectors. That way it protects them until I want to look in them.
Never knew that about those embroidery hoops...so cool. Love the cross stitch crazy.

I got a great round frame on Amazon. I should do a video of what’s on my walls currently but it’s A LOT 😬

😂 ok caught up on your videos and just found you this evening. Subscribed too. Your first video was the first on I seen.
Awesome! Thank you!

Loving your flosstubes =D ,
could the HD stand for hand dyed?
Doh!😂yes, yes it probably does😅
Another wonderful video! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you!!!
Thanks for hanging out!
Regarding your flexible hoops, I've read that if you soak in hot water they become more flexible. Caydo is a brand I have used.
Do Caydo bite? Thanks for the info!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I’m pretty sure HD stands for hand dyed on the blue fabric.
Nothing like a good brain 💨 😅

HD Aida I think is Hand Dyed Aida
Yes, I had a “moment”😂
I need to ask a question. Do you know what the bungee like cords that are used to keep fabric tight are called?
Hmmm, fabric huggers or magnetic fabric huggers. Try searching with those. I got my fabric huggers on Etsy. If you still can’t find them let me know❤
@@Sarahthenorthwoodsstitcher thanks for 5he info. I have been looking all day. Have a great weekend

Unfortunately I don't buy often online but when I do I get them from Amazon and if sold by them they take returns.
