This camera angle really reveals the fact that Federer's balls are much heavier balls that really bounce back further due to his gut main strings vs the other guy with his full poly setup. The other guy is mostly just fending off Federer's heavy shots, having to actually swing harder than Federer to do so. This is the downside to an all polyester string setup in my opinion. Not to mention the loss of touch at net.
no no no no no no non no no no no no. Fed has used a double box for the past 13+ years and what you are seeing here is not a result of that. Watch other practice videos. Starting in 2017 he raised his string tension by a whopping 14 pounds (insanity). This is what is giving the extra pace, heavier balls and is responsible for those blistering BH winners we see in Nadal matches. Nadal uses full poly yet his balls are very heavy and he gets great depth......same with Djokovic and Murray
He has the same start of serve as Frances Tiafoe, this is so weird. Do they have the same coach? EDIT: 12:23 and the same forehand preparation! This cannot be a coincidence!
that's just how the next-gen is taught nowadays, they start the preparation much higher which allows them to hit harder but is heavier on the shoulders. Rublev and khachanov already play like this, you can also see it a lot in the junior tournaments
I'm a Fed fan through and through.. but listening to Roger nut hugg|ng fans cheering his every move is annoying. On this practice session, half way through, I started cheering for Escobedo
I can totally tell when federer hits the ball without looking. The sound is so smooth
if you watch it closely, at the point of contact with the ball his head position is very still and he trust his hands to generate power
nice thick flat shots from Federer. Refreshing to see in this top spin & exaggerated whip motion obsessed sick world of tennis :D
Federer has quite a lot of whip in his strokes, and his rpm's are up there compared to the tour average.
You’re a jackass
This is great footage! Thanks!
the guy is a really good hitting partner
Roger Lee he's an actual pro, he's top 100/just outside top 100. He's a beast
He's only about 19 years old too and a contender for the Next Gen ATP Finals
Roger Lee That is Ernesto Escobedo
Dat Radical Gamer :D yep
Yeah Roger Federer’s not too bad as a hitting partner 😂
Thanks for the upload. 60 fps feels almost feels like I'm there too :)
Love the vids, amazing quality!!
The guy in the white shirt is pretty good. He might have a good future in this sport :p
I really hope you're trolling
he is.... lmao
learn to take a fucking joke sam kercher
great future. Even better past :)
I think that's Ernesto. Ernesto … Gulbis? I have heard of him before.
このアングル素晴らしいね!
フェデラーのフォア、バックがカッコ良すぎる!
When Roger hits a winner, the crowd goes yeaaaaahhhh and the other guy hits a winner, the crowd goes ooooooohh
lol, yea
Federer has a really smooth backhand. You really have to have a strong wrist.
こんなに安定してるのは、凄い。

@@Wodz30 Federer changed his tension with the bigger 97 racquet when he switched from 90 in 2014
No, Federer hits a heavier ball because he is just better.
And a full bed of polyester strings actually gives access to more spin.
Escobedo's style is like Andy Roddick .
Federer is Federer 👌👌👌

tiafoe has much weirder looking forehand and serve form imo
Escobedo has said that he was a big Roddick fan growing up. I would assume he tried to model his serve after Andy's.
@@marekcolaproIt's not harder on the shoulder, the only difference is that it takes a bit more time to set up, but you get easier access to power.
hypnotizing
Ernesto is my boy!
8:35, Come Roger, clearly out! ;-)
Yea, thought so too.
it might just touched 1mm of line, hard to see for you if you dont play tennis yourself at higher level, not sayng pro level just higher :)
THANK YOU
that forehand at 9:34
incredible raquet speed
If you watch in super slow motion, he is off balance and still hit it that clean. WTF?!
And 11:06! 🎾💥
Escobedo is ranked 83rd in the world
196 today.
フェデラーのフォアストロークのテイクバック、こんな小さくなかったよな〜。
Roger Federer with no headband?! A rarity!
He wears one...
He's wearing a headband
Weird serve by roger Lee, but very good serve
Must be hard to focus with an annoying crowd
Roger Federer is a fluid :-)
What strings are escobedo using?
Solinco Hyper-G
