This is the kind of report I like. Not over produced. Just two friends playing a narrative game with clean painted models. Well done lads. Looking forward to your next scuffle!
Nothing like binge watching these battle reports! It's very difficult to find channels with good battle report filming. To watch two of the best battle reporters i can find on youtube share these games is a privilege to watch! Whatever the outcome of the games, its always very easy to watch and very engaging!
Happy Holidays! Looking forward to future battle reports with a new Tau codex on the horizon. I liked the different style lists of the two armies. They were very refreshing to see.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the roll 45:00 did you count the 5s as sustained hits? Because Drill Commander specifies you have to remain stationary for that to work. I know you guys said it was sustained hits on +5 in the beginning, but it only works if the unit remains stationary.
I'm not entirely certain but I think that to be within engagement range you must be one inch from each other and not base to base. So if I saw right the cadians would have made it.
keep in mind you get cover if models are not fully visible, turn 1 long strike and tau warriors both get cover and negate the -1 ap that the sentinals did. how can the guidance of the riptide by the fire warriors underneath it on the other side of the terrain you mentioned at start of the game blocks line of sight? seeker missile isn't wasted as you didn't shoot at it, you could choose to shoot it but only if the hellhound lived. the cadre fireblade can't guide the broadside as it in combat with the sentinel, so you would have to kill the sentinel to free him up to do so. battlesuits/vehicles can however guide if engaged in combat due to being able to shoot outside of it with big guns never tire rule. again broadsides seeker missile would not be wasted. nice tau theme.. im a long time tau player and always great to see more tau. im also like seeing astra as im looking to collect a astra army myself. also great battle report.. got yourself an extra sub 😊
ya these smaller channels who put some attention to detail into the actual game are way better than the bat reps that have 10 sponsors, thousands of dollars of models and terrain and dice and cameras. Meanwhile they don't use a single ability the entire game. Good work guys.
My roommate plays tau and we do many battles like you guys do so if you were ever interested in doing a 2 v 2 game we are only a few hours north of you guys
I got a new schedule at work, so my plans for getting back into the swing of things around the new year did not pan out; however, new videos will be coming!
I don't want to give any firm dates (because every time I do I miss it), but videos will be returning. A new shift at work and two kids have made it hard to make time for videos, unfortunately.
I super-glued some small rocks from my driveway onto the bases. Then I just used Citadel's Astrogranite texture paint and dry brushed a light gray onto it. It was pretty simple. I like the Astrogranite, but I have not had as much luck with some of Citadel's other texture paints.

Thank you! I am glad you like it!

Thanks for the high praise!
I don’t partake in narrative games, mostly play competitive but I really enjoy watching your T’au bat reps sir!
Awesome! I am glad you like them!
Wow 3:37, que bonito esquema para el ejercito T'au!
¡Gracias!
Great to have you back! Hope everything has been good with life in this hard time, and looking forward to seeing you in the new year!
Thank you! I am glad to be back at it!
I love that Tau theme. Reminds me of my Dawn of War ROBOTECH theme I used for every army.
Thanks!
Absolutely love your videos, really the best battle reports on youtube. Thanks for the content.
The Emperor protects !!
Thank you for the high praise!

Thanks! I am pretty excited for a new codex!

He lives🎉
It's true! It was touch and go there for a while, but I have returned.
Nice to see a batrep with the ol 4ground terrain, I've got a bunch of the same, good kits those
They are great! I have a couple smaller kits I still haven't put together yet.
Very nice paint jobs on both armies
Thank you! His stuff is amazing!
Great report. Love the format. Nice table and beautiful armies. Good on you for sticking out past turn 2, Steel. I might have waved the white flag.
Thank you!

45:50 yea you are playing drill commander wrong unfortunately.
Good catch!
@@Kingofdragons117 @slidergames I cheated and still lost 😂
@@CadianSergeantSteel What are rules really?
Suggestions at best.

You are correct that engagement range is within an inch. We measured off-camera, and the charge didn't make it.
@@SliderGames oh ok, my bad. But still a thriller till the end. Love the narrative parts as well. But Jesus that riptide absorbed everything!
The riptide pilot definitely earned a promotion.
Nice report guys! I am very interested in the terrain, did you buy it prepainted somewhere? Looks amazing!
Thank you! The terrain is pre-painted MDF. You can get it from a company called TymeAgain.
Do you have a link for the terrain?
I don't off-hand, but if you search Tymeagain you should be able to find it pretty easily.
Still here with you, loyal Texas Guard
I appreciate it!

Awesome! Love the terrain! Where did you get it?
It was from a company called 4Ground when I got it, but now a company called TymeAgain sells it.
love your content
Thank you! More will be coming in the new year!
What terrain set is this?
The industrial terrain is available from a company called TymeAgain.
@slidergames do you sell your custom dice?
Not at this time, but it is something I have considered.
@@SliderGames alrighty! Thanks for the quick reply 😁
You're welcome!

Happy holidays my goal is to one day do a guard vs guard game with cadian sgt Steele
That would be a lot of fun!
My roommate plays tau and we do many battles like you guys do so if you were ever interested in doing a 2 v 2 game we are only a few hours north of you guys
Nice video. To be fair steel's list was way weaker in my opinion with no real anti tank.
Thank you!
Im looking forward to new videos

I dont believe vehicles can end movement on the second floor of buildings or ruins.
You might be right about that.
@@SliderGamesMeh. It was fun 😆
So thirsty.... Need more... Warhammer reports
Me too!
When will we see more war? 😂

Easy fix, stop being a good parent and model citizen! 😂
Just kidding, for the emperor
How did you do the Tau bases? I'm trying to figure out how to base my nids and I am very bad at it
