About Star Trucker:
Cruise the hyper highways, taking on a variety of jobs such as fuel hungry long hauls and hazardous drop-offs to earn cash and unlock new content.
While on the open road use the fully voiced, interactive CB radio to get the latest gossip from fellow truckers, request docking permissions or send out an SOS.
Swing by auto-shops to upgrade and improve your truck systems, giving you access to exciting and potentially dangerous new areas.
With new trade routes open, take the opportunity to earn a little extra on the side from buying and selling small goods, or contraband at trading posts and stations along the way.
Keep your core systems online and gravity compensator running while managing the cab’s climate control and hull charge to prevent deterioration.
Juggle this alongside patching your hull and replacing components to avoid death… or even worse, the expense of a roadside recovery!
Use the galactic map to plan your journey and warp jumps, while keeping an eye on your fuel reserves and power levels.
Once your route is set, kick back, crank up the cab hi-fi and cruise to a selection of original songs covering starburst blues, galactic rock and asteroid infused americana. The open road is waiting!

It's interesting, because it seems like some people just "get it," while others have to painstakingly test the limits of Newtonian physics the hard way, through ages of trial and error.
I did a rendezvous and docking procedure my first day playing Kerbal Space Program. Meanwhile I had a friend who swore off docking for good after literally years of failing, and now he just finds ways around it by building monstrous single launch abominations.

Breaker 19 this is Rubber Duck we got ourselves a convoy.
Ohh man , you just hit a core memory of mine watching Convoy on Sunday with my Dad who was a trucker himself and when i drove with him he would put an actual rubber duck with a cowboy hat on the hood and changed our call sign to Rubber Duck while i was with him driving . He drove , i did the radio and cargo management . Such good memories ! Thx

This is a really cool premise for a game. The graphics are good too! I love how even as someone watching you through a screen, I can still feel the heaviness and slow movement of the truck moving and also the difficulty moving through space as the character. Would love to see more of this game, Drae!
Important tip, if the demo lasted any longer... make sure to put EVERY loose damageable component in one of the hard cases while you have the chance. Sometimes the gravity fails, and sudden movements can bounce things around..
Drae, you need to remember there is no friction in space. Once you start moving you won't be stopping unless you actively do that.
Partly true. In this game there's a "Drive assist" mode that defaults to on, which corrects for movement, and also gradually slows your forward movement as well, giving the feeling of road friction that would allow you to coast to a stop. You can however disable that by pressing the big "DA" button in the center console, which means it's now up to you to correct for any movement, but also removes any speed limiting the assist has.
Drea just refusing to swing wide into the drop off zones shows me this man has never towed anything in his life

I got out the truck to fix it and it had too much momentum for me to keep up with it and I got game over'd from asphyxiation. 10/10
I was lucky when I tried that, managed to just barely keep up with the truck by bouncing off the trailer to keep up speed.
Yeah I think you have to reverse to a full stop and then hit the button again to actually reverse. So many collisions!

6:11 I would bet everything I own Dre was pressing "Reverse" to slow down.... which did exactly what it should have done... increase his reverse speed into the dock... I never want to meet this man on the road.
This is a good nice refresher for us truckers to see the community recognizes the frustration of our job, BUT INSPACE ohffs XD

i got the demo and decided to get to the edge of a place, go as fast as possible into a building, and then notice that nothing happens at 0% hull integrity, while giving myself a bagillion bucks of debt. then went outside without space suit on purpose.
