Just bought one in black. Paid under 22k, such a steal with what you get! Even has travel assist and centerlane stuff, basically drives itself on the highway!
@@mjweissman6309 after tweaking the factory unit's equalizer settings to go up in bass and treble and mids down a bit, I have to say it's not all that bad. obviously not a premium sound, but it's really not bad either depending on the quality of the source audio. @mjweissman6309
Got a quote for a brand new left over 2023 model for 18k. As long as you can haggle, they will bring down the price. Some dealers have a few left overs and are itching to get rid of the 23 model. Pretty good considering it includes 2 year maintenance and driving assist package.
This is definitely the value of the century, I mean it’s literally a baby Audi A4, the build quality looks great, fuel economy is great as well, it doesn’t feel cheap like the Nissan Sentra, this is definitely top 3 first cars in my book
I called the sales man yesturday to evaluate my suv so I can switch it for a Jetta! I actually can't wait to test drive it! I'm a Honda girly but Honda got sooo expensive for what you get. And I love the style of the new Jetta ❤!
Hard to find manuals now a days that's all i drive. This is a good value for the money I would buy this if i was in the market for new ride. 22k 6 speed all led its solid with 160hp and 180torque.
Not only are manuals nearly impossible to find nowadays, but some of the manufacturers have them only on their top of the line sporty models. I just want a basic model with a smooth manual gearbox and good fuel economy. If I want sportiness, that's what my GSRX-1000 is for.
Styling inside and out is the same. There have been some small tweaks. Don’t quote me on this, but I believe for 2024 the leather wrapped steering wheel, blind spot warning and adaptive cruise are not standard over the 2023 model year.
A couple of questions… The white exterior and the black interior… and that comes with a gray ceiling and sunvisors, etc.? I thought it came beige. But if the roof liner is gray, that’s awesome. It probably looks very nice contrasted with the black interior. Also, did you see a way to have your current fuel economy and which gear you are in inside the tachometer at the same time? Your speed can/will default to the bottom right of the display. So, if there’s a way to have your tachometer your speedometer, your current/instant fuel economy, and your gear indicator in your display, no matter how it is set up or where it is displayed… That would be awesome. Any idea?
I bought one last month and like it so far. Yes, you can move the speedo to the side of the tach and it will put all your trip info, including mpg, in the center. That's my standard screen. You can choose instant mph, this trip, this tank, or long term. Fuel economy is great, and I've averaged 38 in the last 2000 miles, with mid 40s on highway trips.
I totally agree! I used to have a manual 2019 GLI and had back aches for road trips (between norther and southern Cal) over 5-8 hours driving a day. It took me a couple of weeks to recover. As for manual transmission experience, it's much better and smoother than my 2023 Subaru Crosstrek manual, but it's a 228hp vs 152hp.
Nice evaluation..I gather that VW has upped their game on assembly and material quality. Engine uses a timing belt and I understand it is an interference design. If car proves reliable and at least average on repairability, it deserves to succeed. It must ovrrcome a lot of negative public perception, however. Will watch closely, in the meantime I remain a Civic and Corolla fan and do drive a Civic.
100% same experience with the seats. Had a 21 R-line with leatherette seats. After a couple of hours would definitely develop some lower back aches, although the seats felt comfy 🤷♂️ hoping the cloth seats in the 24 I am buying feel better!
Absolutely great video and test drive. You were very thorough with your presentation and description. You look like a natural driving the stick shift. All in all, a very enjoyable video to watch. Looks like you really enjoyed driving the Jetta, and you gave me a good sense of the vehicle driving dynamics.
You can have a display that shows the tachometer and a digital speedometer. In the Jetta SEL comes a larger digital dash that will display the tachometer and speedometer in a more traditional sense.

I’m learning how to drive this car as my first manual (from turo) as of today, it’s a lot of fun.

Picking up mine today at 5 est. I'm stoked.
Last year for a manual Jetta (except for a GLI). Congrats!
Love the lines on this car, classy German design. Lots of car for the money.
Agreed! It certainly is a lot of car for the money in this day in age.
I just reserved mine. Picking it up next week. I’m very excited.
If they made a Taos with this manual, I'd run to the dealer screaming "take my money!".
Honestly, I probably would too. How cool would that be?!
Same here. Not a big fan of the 8 speed auto. I have one and it’s not very refined.

Just bought one in metallic grey. Cost me 26k OTD but got extended warranty and GAP
Don’t ever pay for gap at the dealer. It’s like $30/year through your insurance company, same coverage.
Great review. Literally just bought this exact model/color yesterday!!!! Sad to think this is the last year VW will produce manual transmissions.
😢
I am looking at getting one tomorrow.
Go for it!
Hey... Valenti. haha. Great to see a Local guy., as I'm in Danbury. Subscribed. Best of Luck with the channel
Much appreciated! Many more vehicles to come from the Valenti brands!

Could never own a Jetta if it was an automatic
It's weird that the jetta manual has better mpg than the automatic because with better technology automatic should've beat manual mpg
No spare?!? That freaks me out
.... Didn't even think to ask or check before signing. 😮😮😮
Tremendous valu!
Looking at one for 14999 is that normal price or .. CARFAX says it’s clean I just noticed the scratches on it which is an easy fix
Thinking about getting one. Is this a reliable car/are the matinence affordable?
My wife has a '21 SE automatic. The only warranty item so far has been the sunglass holder door.
Hey, what's the difference between the 2023 vs 2024 Jetta? I cannot tell the difference

Does the Jetta S manual have Auto Start Stop?
@@donwilliams4602 no
very rusty driving what you refer to as a stick more precisely a manual transmission, this being a six speed should be a blast to drive.

Seats were great in my 19 GLI
I have a 24 Gli, and I've had a 4 hr trip for the longest trip so far, and they are still kinda uncomfortable
My 2020 gli s gave me real bad back aches after about a hour in the car.
